Tobbaco in joints... eww...

Can anyone explain me what's the reason why some people feel the need to waste their weed by mixing tobacco in their joints?

i dont think its a waste of weed, i think its a waste of time
it doesnt make the weed less potent, its just that there's less weed in the joint coz tobacco makes up a percentage of it
i dont like the mix, i say choose which one you want to smoke weed or tobacco make a decision, we cant compromise on everything lol

Some claim it burns better/more evenly. Some claim they like the nicotine/THC combination.

The only time I do combine THC with nicotine is in a hookah... and that usually implies stupid amounts of weed, so I can't really tell if there is a difference when tobacco is thrown into the mix becaus I get very high anyway. Feel free to bash this shameless loss of weed (if it really is), it's something I only do socially. I'm not justifying, just explaining.

you'd need to be a rich dude to smoke weed pure all the time ... however there's other stuff with which you can mix it like other herbs....
but well the combination of tobacco and weed is a unique one too and yes probably tobacco helps to burn the weed better / more evenly.

i agree though that it might be more pleasurable to smoke it always pure... but well as the shit is expensive you probably indeed might consider mixing it with stuff like the evil tobacco.

ah maybe that's it too.. where i live fresh weed is quite cheap compared to some parts of the world. its not even half the price of what it is in the US, let alone europe where i hear it's even more expensive

Mixing weed with tobacco may make the weed go further if the reason you smoke is to make smoke come out of your mouth. Otherwise it just means it takes longer to get stoned and you have to inhale mores shit. Tobacco hurts my lungs. If you put a TINY bit in a huge joint, I would cough my lungs out and would not trust your joints ever again. I have rolled many thousands of joints and I don't remember any of them having tobacco in them. If you know how to roll joints properly, you won't need them to 'burn better'. Of course, if you are a nicotine junkie and need your fix, it makes sense to get stoned at the same time, and it tastes better than a pure tobacco cigarette. But it's not really a waste, (unless you really appreciate the taste of weed), because you still get stoned if you can stop yourself coughing the rancid shit up.

Thats the only reason I get from people, 'because it goes further'. I really don't get it. Why not mix your weed with grass clippings from the lawn, it will go further?

and if you're worried about using too much and want to save on weed, buy a vaporizer, a billion times better than smoking with tobacco

Here in the UK everyone puts tobacco in their joints.

As long as you only use a little bit I think it's nicer.
I find the joint will burn completely evenly, the smoke is smoother and tastes nicer and you don't need to use an eighth to fill a rolling paper.
Don't even think about telling me I'm bad at rolling or I don't get good bud.

Also, whenever I've been to Amsterdam all the locals that I've smoked with put tobacco in their joints.

Well, the weed here in Holland is so fucked up strong that you don't want to roll big joints.
I don't like it when people do a lot of tabacco (especially cigarettes) in their joints.
Just fucks up the taste.
I really don't like tabacco with weed in a hookah.

I do however roll really thin hash joints with a bit of rolling tabacco
(like I already stated in the What ciggies do you like topic)
Some of my friends call em toothpicks
Some people bitch about how small/thin my joints are,
but then are really surprised by the taste

But Nicotine constricts your vaines and THC dilates them, so the counter effect makes you really stoned for some reason.
If I smoke pure I get more of a high feeling.

Yes, too large reasons and also you can make the joint larger without using too much weed and there are people that smoke because of the pleasure of smoking, to sit together and smoke...

I can understand it and the high is probably easier controllable resp. weed is easier to use recreationally if it doesn't blow your head off...

Cigarette tobacco has hundreds of chemicals added to it to improve the taste, smell and quality of the smoke etc.
Rolling tobacco is much more natural.

I preffer to to use rolling tobacco in my joints. I think it tastes nicer, burns better and is easier to roll with.

Yeah I still have to thank you for this. I tasted your toothpicks at last psychonaut meeting and really liked them! Since then I started making my own toothpicks, I really love em Just a tiny bit of tobacco to keep em burning, filled with some grade A hash.
