Question about Cubensis Growbox

Sometimes its just takes a bit longer. The Mycelium may had a shock while transporting or from in and out of the fridge. Best is to not put it in the fridge when you get it but start it up right away.

Give it some time and it will work. I had a guy once who had no shrooms after 3 weeks. He was given a new kit and when the replacement arrived the old kit started to flush so he was lucky. Keeps difficult to predict these kind of things.

Sorry... /me getting aggitated by his verry slow growing shrooms. They've been standing here in my 20 C livingroom for 20 days now. Result so far: some white flocks.
Think im gonna leave them at ease for a few days.. no extra water, no fanning. Just warmth and quietness.

you probably don't need to tune the enviroment, but i decided to do it 'cause my room conditions arent that well. and i was thinking because of a better result.
next time i'll try it with the filterbag, too!!

i'll gonna dunk the kit about 24h and put them bag into the filterbag and will see. i dunked it with sterile water instead of boiled water. i made the experience that it works better for me.
i used the biggest head of my first flush for the sporeprint and next days i will start pf-tekking...

I have my grow box know for 6 day's and it seems that only one side of the kit is full with mycelium. Does anyone know how this comes and if there is a manner to let the mycelium grow everywhere for the next flushes?!?

You don't have to worrie about the collonisation.
In the beginnning it will seem that it's not gonna do that well, but after 3 days when the pins start to show the shrooms will be everywhere

My 12 day old kit looked just like you described it and still does when it comes to the mycelium but i have mushrooms growing over the whole top, even were there is no mycelium.
Theese spots are good for watering when you need to sins the water dosen't falls directly on the mycelium. Make shure that you dont spray to much water or that it splashes on the mycelium or the mushrooms sins the water could have other contaminant life-forms and then you will have, like someone in this forum said, "some fungus on your fungi"

Your first mushroom hat should apear after 8-9 days.

Yes, the mycekium is the white stuff.
If nothing has grown after 25 days i would guess that your mycelium is dead. I have no idea why it would die though.[/quote]

time has come to harvest the second flush.. after dunking 24h the shrooms are much bigger. 3 days after dunking they looked like "fat asses" and then they got bigger and bigger real fast. it's about one week ago and today i'm gonna harvest. don't know how much they are.. i'll make some pics..

question: i dried the first flush with some CaCl2 and they were completely dry within 4 days.. i took care of not bringing the shrooms in contact with the CaCl2 but they really smell like it.. they are dry as hell but smell like the CaCl2.. i took them and got no negative effects on it... do you know how to prevent that..?
did they just took the smell out of the air in the dryingchamber?

What exactly do you mean by "dunking"?

"dunking" is an other way to give back water to the cake. it's almost like the word said. you have to "dunk" your cake/growkit in water. the complete surface has to be under water.( i prefer sterile water instead of boiled water. )

you do this after harvesting your flush for about 5h to 24h and after this time remove all redundantly water and put the cake/growkit back into your filterbag or terrarium or whatever..

i made the experience that the shrooms get bigger after dunking.

ok i promised some pics but i couldn't shoot them 'cause i had no camera..

harvest of the 2. flush 110g fresh (now drying with CaCl2). dunk the kit for about 24h now and after work i'll put it back into my terrarium..
it's still impressive that after 1 week they are grown to an adult again.
awaiting my 3. flush now...

Well I've got some pinheads. Most of the pinheads are only 1-2cm and are just showing themselves above the ground, but I've also got about 5 pinheads that are already 7-8cm. The manual tells you should harvest all the shrooms in once. But I can't imagine all the little pinheads will start growing that fast that they will be ready together with the already big ones. So what should I do?

- Harvest them at once. (probably 5-6 full grown and 20+ small)

- Harvest in two times, first the 5-6 already big ones and the others when they are also full grown?

that's the question man... in the azarius instruction they say that sometimes fungis grow with different speed and they tell you to harvest the ready ones and give the others more time to grow.
but i haven't had such big differences in the size so i harvested them all in one.
i've read that sometimes fungis just stop to grow they are called "aborts" and you have to pick them anyways if they didn't grow to an adult.

i would recommend to harvest the whole kit if the size differences are not to big.
and when you read on shroomery.org or thenook.org they tell you it's not the size that matters. 'cause the psilocibine is produced in an early state of the shroomgrowing. it's not recommended to let them grow as big as possible. the taste is more bad and they don't produce more psilocibine.
