I use pure Rye. No flour or vermiculite!
On www.mushmush.nl there is a brf tek for cakes.

I'm starting to grow my own shroom but i'm portuguese and there are certain terms i cannot uderstand such as "innoculating a jar" and what kind of product is "rye" ?! Where can i get it ?! Does it have another name ?!

A lot of shroomwords are just belonging to the science of mycology.

inoculation is bringing spores onto a growing media.

Rye is rye, there isn't another name for it. It's some sort of grain, try lookin' in a health food store.

I went to a health food store today and they told me to be more specific, like they dont know what Rye is or at least not by that name, could anyone please take a photo (with your web or digital cam (if you dont have any dont bother)) or make a scan of the package so i can show them ?! i would be really thankful !!

rye is just a stupid grain you can buy to an animal food store
, it s also used to make bread , i payed 5 euro for 4 kilos of good , biological rye , it s very very common .

in my town , these shop s aren t serious they don t know anything , brown rice flour ? don t know , i had to do with white rice , wich didn t work, and they didn t know where i could find rye

that s for original , in case you live in belgium or france, rye is called "seigle"

Every health food store i went to, the people were very well informed. They aren't owned by corporations, so they have to know what they're doin' to get business. However, they were sold out of brown rice flour when i went there..maybe a lot of people in my town are growin' shroomies and i don't know 'bout them. But then i went to Wegmans and found some. Later.

Yea I wanna grow but my problem is this, this town where i live is a shit town it has more farm animals than people
there arnt any health food stores within like at least a good 80 to 100 miles away

I was wondering if there is anything else that will work the same as the BRF or rye or what ever

and what would be the chances of the mushies growing if i just took the spores and nesled them in some compost or something im thinking no but iv been to all the web sites I know what to do but again Im plauged by location Damn me

You could always order the grow kits.

Or if you want you could try to inoculate some compost..or cow shit.
