I got mine last week, but I cannot start growin' them until i find some brown rice powder, and some damn vermiculite. Just 'cause it's snowin' gives those stores no reason to not sell vermiculite. Hopefully I'll find the items i'm lookin' for.

I too am looking for the right supplys but i am a power newbie at growen fungus so I dont know i surely will try my ass off how many ytimes can you use a print and how much of the print do u use at one time per jar??

Hey Meneer,after seeing these posts,i went to your website and man,really great work, with the right spirit! Enjoyed all the information although some of it was in dutch,and i can't understand it,but anyway keep up the wonderfull work,maybe some translation will be available soon.
Do you make fresh mushrooms shipment as well,or only spore prints? GOOD trips.

and thats pretty much all i need to know i have all the directipns how to set up the whole thing just the above issues are screwing me over i really want to use the spores as soon as possable as so tehy dont go bad on me but im keeping them nice and cool\cold so...... any info at all would be grrrrrrrrrrrreat

I doubt you can use white rice powder. But you can find brown rice flour at any coop or health food store place. If you have a Wegman's, they'll more then likely have it.

You might be able to use perlite, instead of vermiculite..but i never really found that out. I later found some vermiculite at Lowe's..so if you have one of those, go there.

I don't have a pressure cooker, but if you go to www.erowid.org, they have a good mushroom growing guide and it tells how to sterilize everythin' without a pressure cooker. A lot of boilin' is involved.

I finally started my mushroom growin' 3 days ago, but the spores I got from FSRE were very hard and there were very few of them. I scratched them as hard as I could off the paper into a sterilized shot glass, but I didn't even see any spores in the glass. I used the whole print for only one 3cc syringe. I really hope this works. I still really love the FSRE, 'cause it's a great idea..maybe I just got a bad print.

I think you have no problems with the print as spores are so small the cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Just email or pm me your addy again and I will sent a new print to make sure you have a mighty print too.

I will sent you one made on foil, or one made on transparant plastic.

to make a sterile spore print i recon that sterilizing a peice of aluminium foil in an oven, then placing it (with the spore print in it) in a photo film box that has been boiled with coton over it. Do you think it is enough to keep the spores stérile or shall i put the foil in a plastic zip lock, than in the film box?

I have many favorite strains. The one for its shape, the other for his nice clusterfruits, the other of his big fruits etc.
I just harvetsed a cake with SA fruits on it, very nice too.

but have to admit that I grow casings normally

I started cultivating with a commercial syringe from Azarius.
The ecuador strain. This was and is stil a very good strain.
Easy to cultivate, very nice fruits and mighty potent.

For it was the best way to start cultivating. It all went well at the first time. Thats a nice thing when you start, to know for sure your syringe okee. Believe me it is a thrill the first time!!!!

Very exciting! I think cultivation even beats the trip in fun!
