For myself, yes. But I bet UK gvt was thinking like that when making their psychow substance all ban in one
I was saying that because I was reading about the bill this morning. It's globally taking people for major dumbass. I can understand they have problem due to the possibility of selling everything everywhere, but I mean... RC world is one of the most knowledgable group of ppl from the drug world, a vast array of them learn science and stuff. They killed a kind of creativity reserve. For me the problem is not necesserily killing actual progress in science (since the law still -somewhat- allow the access to product to science), but more future possibility of ppl going to science and discover thing about molecule (even in a not drug way). Ppl don't find their passion with being kicked in the ass by the gvt. Sorry for the mini rant I don't want to hijack the thread but this ban is major bullshit especially if it lead to a new no drug age (aside alcohol wich apparently isn't a drug - complete hypocriticality since other drugs begin to have too a strong cultural impact even on mainstream society). As usual they can't take into account "responsible drug use" -wich is even more possible with some unallowed drug like psychedelics than for alcohol, but I can agree stim and opioid can be a problem- . don't get me wrong Ive majorly fucked stuff with drugs (mainly opioid and stims), but, on a personnal level, you live and learn (I can agree you can't let a society experience the consequence of "I live and learn", but this is not my main point and I find that this is the ONLY point wich can lead to SOME drugs being regulated), and I maintain a vast array of psychedelics ketamine included is far less problematic than what is currently tolerated. I would be more okay with the bill if they took into account actual social/personnal/cultural dangerosity of the drugs they banned. At the end they are perhaps the idiots in the stuff. And imagine only 20% of ppl going back to the street for getting trivial drugs for replacing RC (lets say coke). They will quickly be in contact of heroin (this is not a population wich take light drugs/cannabis only). I know the street, I know how it is. This is fucked up from the beginning. I bet 30% of the 20% will stop after some time due to annoying problem in street (if you aren't profitable you get scammed, and the problem of time management where dealer live in another time dimension) but for the 70% other it's fucked. If I was having a child I would strongly prefer firstly he take no drugs, but after that he take drug from the web and have an actual background in harm reduction, and have some scientific knowledge.
If in the close future UK experience an increase of number of ppl taking opiate and coke (and all fucked up problem over that - low quality, bad filler, money wasted), it's 1000% their responsability.
They are specialist in this kind of laws. For what I know, look at the law about free parties end of 90's, and look how the phenomena propagated everywhere, how the movement took a warrior/extreme drug taking aspect almost SOLELY DUE TO THAT kind of law they passed at this moment. If spiral tribe are some kind of heroes, and if France got all fucked up (from the gvt eyes) due to free party, it's almost only the fault of the completely humanly unreasonnable bill they passed in 90's (criminal justice bill or smth like that). They are unaware of the consequence of their action.
You can't sell anymore N2O for cream apparently.
edit : I want to say something more personnal, I think for any good stuff you have bad stuff in some way. It's basic and perhaps idiot but for example my idiocy with some moment of my life about drug have allowed myself to take a more empathic and conscious stance on life. I understand the consequence of my action on other, even if I understanded before I never experienced it - so I was thinking a bit BS stuff. My problem is perhaps I can't that much learn from error of other ppl, I need to experiment stuff whatever if this is good or bad for actually becoming perhaps more "human". What I mean is that whatever the field, being it drugs, sex, killing someone (it hapenned to be drugs for myself), it have actually renforced some good part of myself, wich I probably would never have experienced without. When I speak to someone about some moral POV, I actually know what I speak about, not like the gvt apparently. This is not the same for everyone : you will have guy who for example will take a scientific stance on the "bad stuff" they have done, other will perhaps become philosopher or artist (I don't speak only about drugs). What I mean is that it's not all black and all white. It's perhaps not profitable to prohibit everything, because at the end it don't have any meaning anymore, a society can lose his human aspect, his "art of living". After that you have imbecile ppl, wich are able to maintain forever point of view on things they never known even remotely in reality. They are the problem. If they don't live that's not my problem, but if they begin to try to import their reasonning everywhere, this begin to be a problem.
