Hello everybody,
respect to all the E-cooks here, hehehe you have been very helpfull sofar!
As i am new to the forum, i am going to introduce myself first.
Everyone can read my name. I am from holland, i am a smoker, grower,
mdma fan, occasional idiot, growing whatever i can get my hands on, i am a weed smoker for over 15 years, not a fan of ethanol though. I hate it, and had my fair share of it, believe me.
I was reading a little bit here,
I am going to try to hand out some good tips, hints, sites, etc.
First off, obviously all information is going to help!
Links to books are good! Books are good!
There are better things, but reading books is good.
It usually makes people smarter!
Well now,
for any of you wanting to grow: Like it has been said before, make sure the pro's outweigh the cons! 1 year jail for having 4or5 plants is not worth it.
If you are a first timer, why not try growing outside first in the summer? Almost everyone knows a neat spot to grow some plants. If not, go look for some! Growing outside will be easier, safer, and the yield will be exponentially higher. Needing much less care, costing much less money with no chances of the cops come crashing into your living room! It does produce usually a little lesser quality of weed, but loads of it. Surely worth all the hassle!
You probably want some speical species for that, that grows good outside, and flowers for about 8 weeks, not longer. Because the longer it must bloom, the higher the chances of rain, wind, and all problems that go with that
at the end of the summer, which is harvest time.
You can read where to get good seeds and info later.
To grow inside is something else. It costs loads of money and basicly, if you don't want the cops to pay you a visit, you must be sure about whatever you do. Make sure you start at the beginning. That would be research!
The plants / seeds come as last! You also DO NOT use ozone.
Here in holland we dont use it, it is dangerous! Carbon filters is the way togo.
There are good ones, i will show you where to get 'em later.
(working safely benefits the verdict in court!)
Never dump used air directly outside, EVER. It probably smells, and it is hot! Infrared can see it!
Ventilation! Very important. Heat control, you need moist in the air, so you need to control that aswell. Houling loads of soil into your house makes you stick out, be aware of that. Nutrients cost money. PH meters, EC meters, liquids for both, etc. All cost quite some money. Lamps and such, same. Costly!
You also can never plug a 600watt light bulb into the outlet directly.
You can, but you shouldn't. It is dangerous, use relais for it!
( need to study them and electricity!)
I can explain everything you need, how you need to wire it, what lamps, soil, nutrients, etc. But i think one can better do reseach themselves!
Also, getting busted for a few plants is one thing.
They maybe say your wiring is amateurish, therefore making you a hazard for your neighbours. They can maybe "proof" you did 20 rounds already, therefore making you pay for the money you can make with 20x your harvest.
Cover your ass! Make sure you can always proof it is your first round, and it is all for you! Finding 1000glassbags pretty much proves otherwise.
Do not start with 10000plants and 100lamps. Pay the power you use, don't tap it illegally. Keep your mouth shut!
There is so much more that comes with it, but i think you get the idea. Don't rush it, better be safe then sorry. The operation is NOT to be taken lightly. And i haven't even mentioned what pests and problems can cost you your harvest as you go!
Now, to get some GOOD info, from the pro's:
http://www.wietforum.nl/
their english version, ran by the same people:
http://www.opengrow.com/
Seeds:
Probably the hottest seeds at this moment in holland:
http://www.sanniesshop.com/
Probably THE BEST smart- / head- / growshop online ever!
You can get seeds there from some different places:
http://www.azarius.nl
For all your equipment, nutrients, etc ( very GOOD service!) :
http://www.growshop.nl/
http://www.growshop.com/
That's it for now. Make sure you spent the next two weeks reading, and don't buy anything because the plans will change as you read.
And it can go from cheap ( fluor light) to expensive (high end sodium bulbs)
Make sure you get a plan that fits you, and the room you have available.
Have fun, i hope it helps at least someone
Any questions? Feel free to pm me!
Cheers,
Dennis.
