Vaporising temperatures

Ok so.. I'm kind of baffled right now. I got my vaporizer one week ago, and ever since that I started disliking joints, bongs, pipes, whatever burns more and more.
So before i got my vaporizer i used to smoke joints with a tiny bit of tobacco in them.. yes yes I know - blasphemy . It was something I mostly did because my friends liked it more with some tobacco, and i just got used to it.
Anyway the first day I got my vaporizer I tried another tobacco joint late at night just to check what it would be like: I've never ever had smoke taste THAT disgusting haha xD. It was unbelievable, I used to like the taste of joints even with a bit of tobacco. Now almost a week later.. the same thing is happening with pure weed joints (I mainly use the vaporizer though, so it's not like I really care about it), they just taste aweful, burnt and bitter. Not as bad as tobacco joints though.
Anyway, I was wondering, is this normal? Did anybody else experience something similar? I mean, I like the fact that this 'happened' to me, but it just outright baffles me that i have such a strong negative reaction to the taste of burnt weed and tobacco..

I advise everybody to buy a vaporizer haha
