GOD a dit:I agree with fork .
Maybe most of the problem came because some people havent got as much experience as others with recognising and dealing with people who dont want help . Hopefully we have now learned something and dont let it go so far again . Thats what the thread was suposed to be about .
I had enough last night as i tried to help him , and eventualy solved his problem , through loads of PMs for several hours by explaining to him that the problem wasnt a virus it was his software and explaining to him how to fix it .
= I`m not a heartless , negative monster i`m a very loving patient person who trys his best to help people with problems .
When I was living in the preaching centers of the Hare Krishna movement (between 1993 and 1998), specifically the ones in Antwerpen and Amsterdam I encountered many crazy people, amongst both the members and the guests.I was talking about how we as individuals should react to obviously ill people . How far we should go trying to help them . And when comes the point that our efforts are futile and our help is just lengthening an ill persons mind game . I think 10 pages is a bit much to realise that we are all pissing against the wind .

In the years following that I worked in several shops, again in Amsterdam, and had to deal with many mentally disturbed customers, many of whom were very proud of their "spiritual knowledge", or rather their "high sensitivity". On the Internet I did encounter a few trolls throughout the years, and others who were not trolls but still a huge pain in the arse to everyone else on the forum. I also encountered, in my daily life, many (otherwise) sane people who will complain about anyone and everything, all day long if you let them. It's best to avoid associating with such people as well. You may try to change their behavior by telling them to be more positive about others, but it's more than likely that your words as well as your good example will have no effect. You'll just be wasting your time and exposing your own being to a negative example.
In the beginning I often made attempt to help people who are very negative about others or who appeared mentally disturbed, but I pretty soon realized it was always a waste of time. So nowadays I usually say (or write) only a few words to make it clear that I'm not going to spend more time on them.
The only people you can take care of are yourself and your children. So choose your company well, and learn how to be a good parent.
