druglessdouglas a dit:
were all psychonauts. we use plants and potions as tools, am i right? but there are other tools in our tool box. tell us which tool, non chemical, you find most usefull.
i knew instantly what you meant by "non-chemical" but, here's a question.
are there any non-chemical tools for wandering in hyperspace?
for example,
meditation and all of its emanations and shadows can be tools for pychonauts but, is meditation chemical or non-chemical? will lying still, in silence, with the mind focused on a single, or whatever, bound to have chemical reflections in the mind and body in general?
same for not sleeping for 30 hours or so, or sensor deprivation, or studying, or any other activity written on this post.
is a psychonaut chemical in nature? drugs, in this sense, just work different in the causal sense of an altered state in that they have the formality of being ingested through mouth or vein, or whatever.
...
has anyone worked with disease for psychognosis?
having fever can make you hallucinate...
chronic diseases, flu, etc?
i have moderate asthma, and symbolically speaking it has become a friend, a master, a source of pain and fear. for example:
sometimes the asthma's attack is so strong, that i thought i wasn't going to live through it. my heart was racing so hard, i was soooo high from the experience and the medications, hallucinating terribly for short minutes until it would go away.
the hint that whispered to me that this moments could be used for space explorations was that it didn't felt like 5 minutes, it felt like an eternity.
