What I have looks like rye berries that are sprouting but not the usual color.
It look like something has penetrated the rye berry split it and is now growing out of it. Is that what mycelium does? Also does anyone have any good quality pictures of mycelium growth on rye berries so I might compare.
I'll upload a picture tomorrow or monday with what they look like, I want to let whatever is happening, happen for a little longer so it's more defined and easier to shoot.
Thanks for the help and I'll keep everyone posted.
Edit:
My new top piece of advice to new growers is, pay attention to the pressure cooking, singlely the most important step, in my limited experience. Dont overload it, dont add to much water to the jars and make sure you pressure can them for the proper amount of time *mine was total time of 75 min*
I took a look at them and I have growth! It's pure white and growing, slower than I had hoped but growing none the less!
I will have pictures in my next post, just the best 2 or 3.
