Is This Normal?

Well you know when you get buds that are so sticky... I don't mean like lots of resin here, has nothing to do with THC... but stickyness does in my experience, when you have trouble rolling the joint because the shit sticks to your fingers and the paper, you can bet you're in for a wild time.

I haven't seen this often, but I was lucky a few times, those buds do dry out and loose their stickyness eventually but they take much longer than ordinary buds, I suspect more sativa in them.

When you toke those kinds, you get the very sweet feeling on the way in , very tasty and sativa-like ; but when you exhale your bronchia stick together and almost makes you want to puke because you can't even cough properly, thats THC alright.

I could be easily impressionable it could be like 15% but its definately over average... only got this like 2-3 times in my life. I'm kinda sad I can't get those anymore !

Sounds nice . But what do you mean with 20 % THC ? A certain sort of THC or the whole family ? And 20% of what ?

i think '20% thc' being 20% of the weed is composed of thc?
which is pretty extreme... seeing as most of the bud is just plant matter
i may be wrong because if it was composed of 20% thc it'd be like putty wouldnt it?

Der THC-Gehalt variiert von etwa 2 bis 20 Prozent, wobei Werte um 8% bei Haschisch am häufigsten angetroffen werden. Bei Marihuana variiert der Wirkstoffgehalt stärker.
"The Amount of THC varies from 2 to 20 percent whereas Hascheesh mostly has values around 8% [...]"
I don't think that this is the total amount of the plant, I think there are specific measurements although it is possible.

Where did you get the quote from Restin ?

If a plant or hash was 20% THC it would melt and if it got hot maybe it would spontainiously ignite............

If i understand right that means % of THCs in the oil ? If so its meaningless .

No. I found a better source. (still German)
Aus 10 Gramm Marihuana haben wir 1.000 Milligramm THC-Öl extrahiert.
Das Öl hat einen THC-Gehalt von 80%. Folglich enthalten 1.000 Millligramm extrahiertes Cannabisöl zirka 800 Miilligramm THC. Bei 1ß Gramm Marihuana haben wir also einen THC-Gehalt von 8 Prozent.

Formel zu Berechnung des THC-Gehaltes:
Milligramm Ölgewicht * 0,8 = Milligramm THC
Milligramm THC/100 = Prozent THC-Gehalt

i'm guessing the pain was psychosomatic. weed can do that, especially if the feeling is unfamiliar

Put simply .

I think it should be that the oil is made from a particulare part or parts of the plant . Who knows if its just buds or buds / bud leaf or that with othere leaves ? That from that oil about/up to ? 80% are canabinoids and maybe 20% of those canabinoids are "THC" , wich is a group of chemicals not a single one . From those THCs only 2 make you high .

I have dificulty with the one report where they talked about THC as being Delta 9 THC wich is only one of the THCs , one of the 2 THCs that make you high .

I also have dificulty believing that someone extracted 1 gramm of oil from 10 gramms of grass . What did they use ? Aceton ?

I'm not surprised by your disconcertation... I'm also appaled because I seen SWIM try to grow cannabis like that, and the most it amounted to was something that "felt" like 5%-10% tops...

Escuse my lack of scientific data but yeah what is meant is the total number of oil compared to plant, thus cannabinoids, not THC... some kinds in the big book of buds are listed up to 30% oil, and yes it does look like a putty, as I said its so sticky that you can lightly press on it with your finger and it sticks very strongly, because the thc melts at body temperature and when the glands break they stick to your digits.

SWIM has extracted even more oil from some kinds...

And not it's not painful, it's actually quite enjoyable if you know how to breathe your way out of the feeling, because you get an instant wave of good ol THC in your brain 5 seconds later. It's not like harsh smoke that makes you cough, it's like so sticky that your lungs stick together, I'm not kidding I experienced it with a kind that SWIM grown outdoors too with no chemicals. You can literally feel your lungs stick, I imagine that would be pretty much stuning for a first timer.

I would assume Haze, Jack Herer, Super Skunk, White Rhino, NY Diesel and such to be kinds that can be grown to this level of THC, probably due to some powerful sativas in genetic makeup.

SWIM has also told me in india he smoked some hashich and sativa in a temple in the mountains of tibet too that were just like you say, when you put your lighter close it all melts and bubbles, if you press the bud with your fingers you can make almost hash out of it instantly since there is so less leaf in the bud compared to sticky resin, and the hashish you can play with like candy, it will make long angel hair like a soft sugar candy and it does melt.

Yeah the shit that grows in the mountains... it's more frail and does not weight much, but what you get can get you as high as those mountains no kidding !

I'd assume it's sativa, but I'm not even sure there is a definite genus difference, probably juste nomenclature, anyways there is swamp-jungle stuff, desert stuff and mountain stuff in my experience :D

Mountainstuff looks like, oh man fluffy bud I been ripped, but then you touch it and you're like, oh... sticky, and then oh...

I heard that there are plants that have so much hash on them that it blocks the sun and kills the plants and that you can just pull the stems off and press all the rest .

Haha yes I've seen this too ! I think it was the desert kind of bud , more like indica... usually they let it ferment a little before they do that however.

Sativa resin is very sticky and makes flexible hash you can play with, but indica hash makes those hard brown kinds the resin looks essentially like yellow pollen, very different !
