If you have nothing sensible to say and only want to insult and acuse shut the fuck up and fuck off . I havent flamed anyone . You came in talking crap and makeing acusations . And i havent changed sides . Grow up and stop trying to cause trouble . If you carry on with it or writeing in colours i wont posst in the thread anymore .

Stop useing diferent coloured print and just write in black . What has the size of a galaxy and / or the distance between galaxys and / or the number of galaxys you claim we can see got to do with the size / diamater of the universe = less than nothing .

LUL

OMGWTFBBQ!!!!11 YOU ARENT GONNA POST HERE ANYMORE!!! OH NOES HOW TERRIBLE !!!!111ONEONE

and, by the way. how else is one to measure the universe without taking into account the number of galaxies and the space between them, you need to know what kind of shit is in the universe before you can really measure it, because it doenst just have a wall giving us the end of it. the best thing we have is background radiation. but thats all from the point at which we are looking at everything. and as we saw all those many years ago, it seemed as though the sun revolved around the earth, then we found out that we were wrong.

i mean seriously. what a douche. you have no logic?

after you started vehemently replying to my posts everyone else seems to have left this thread anyways. which i find sad. i was seriously hoping for some fun discussion, but i guess i know never to enter a thread where god almighty reigns supreme. O' LAWDY LAWDY, I SEE THE LIGHT! PRAISE JESUS!.

lul.. no...

GOD a dit:
Max we know these numbers are estimates

no it is a meaningless speculation, the universe might be 100 billion years old, it might be 1 billion years old, or it might go back forever

this number assumes, entirely baselessly, that the big bang theory is true, it might not be

i couldnt imagine trying to calculate the speed of light over the distance of an irregularly expanding universe and having to use godnose what singularity or how many singularity theories to compensate for the different types of black holes the light passes close to on the way which would bend it.shit then there the time distortion to consider.
i like mr.smiths answer, its exactly one universe across
as a thought, the size outside the universe is 0?

sorry for interrupting.

Nevermind that we are all from different countries, different cultures, hence we speak different dialects, use different expressions, many have a first language other than English meaning humor and irony don't always translate so well or can be misinterpreted... a little patience and understanding goes a long way. ok back to the universe :D

it all makes sense! god is infinite regression. and a turtle.

I havn't read any of previous posts but the universe's size is given by the simple equation c*t, where c = speed of light, t = age of the universe.

So...one sec
132088320000000000000000 meters = the radius of the universe.
so... the volume would be 3/4*pi*(132088320000000000000000)^3 = m^3

so not very big :D

The ratio of connections possible in your brain under the meters of the radius of the universe would be: 10^-69,999,999,999,999,967

Just some fun numbers.

that doesnt mean ANYTHING

The universe is the size I wish.

I'll take you please.

What don't you understand about it? I used pre-higschool math, and pre-highschool geometry...?

... Really, what don't you get?

you havnt factored in general relativity. you used pre-higschool math and pre-highschool geometry

Explain why I need to...

The universe is an atom in a skin cell of an interdimensional frog.

LsDxMdma a dit:
i believe the universe started when the big bang and, is infinate.

click it
suppors tis view, to me anyways

Inifinite in time or space?
And most astronomers believe that no it's not infinite; it's exactly the diameter I said above and accelerating (i.e. getting larger at an increasing rate every second)

infinite as it will always keep growing, at the speed of light
the picture is the hubble deep field picture of the darkest region of space with the hubble.

Truly some of the most amazing photography comes from outerspace.

I do say this however: If the universe is expanding (which it is) and accelerating (which it is) do you find it more beautiful as the end will be infinitely cold and sparse, or would you rather it end in fire (the big crunch) which is pressumed to be false now- might I add.

I personally find it more interesting that it expands forever... however, I highly doubt the big bang was a lonely event in our universe, I can gladly accept the fact that our expansion will eventually hit another "big bang" and possibly stir life once more.... A man can dream 8)
