thanks! there are lots of stuff at deoxy I'm currently reading and I've also read about half of what you mentioned. I really like the way he talks, makes me laugh and all.

Yesterday while reading his stuff I suddenly remembered a concept I had as a child and I felt happy about it. You see, I remembered having once thought that if I died, that nothing spectacular or divine would happen, that things would just go on! I remember thinking to myself that if I were to stop consciously existing then I would just continue consciously experiencing the world but through the eyes of a different person and with no recollection whatsoever of my past life; with which I don't mean some type of reincarnation or something similar, I just thought that, you know, the show would go on.

What a simple concept! but so wise! when I say "when I was a child" I'm talking about very very young, before adults told me that I'd continue in some sort of magical land on clouds, if of course I behaved and was a nice boy and all that. So my view of the universe changed and got a LOT more complex. But did it get wiser? of course not!

This is very amusing to me :)

yes, Alan Watts has the gift of simplifying things, which is far more difficult than complicating it. have you read "from time to eternity" ? and "psychedelic experience - fact or fantasy" ? those are both very, very good. the first one has some great explanation of religion, and then of time itself. and the second one does a pretty good job explaining the foundations of hindu religion. it is a must read!

I read From Time to Eternity but since he addressed similar topics in his speeches now it all just sort of glued together in my head so I remember all, but as a whole  I agree he had a gift of simplifying things and it's a very important that we should practice this more; I think the average person --I include myself though I obviously try not to-- creates a lot of problems out of nothing without even realizing it!

I'm reading "A Psychedelic Experience - Fact or Fantasy?" right now :)
