Dutch bank abandons relation with all coffeeshop holders

The law in Holland says ( last time i looked ) that shops can buy and sell it . The ammount that they can have in stock is limited and its a fact that when they only have that much in stock they cant function . BUT untill a shop is found guilty of haveing more than is allowed the bank has nothing to say .

The coffee shops could also use the same line of argumentation about their reputation being damaged and apply for damages .

It all comes down to fighting . What the coffee shops have done = acept a negative verdict and rely on the local government not to enforce it is gready , cowardly and in the long run will damage their chances . They owe it to us to fight . We pay their wages / garantee their income and they take the money and run .

Good point.

The law is a bit ambiguous. There is a big law (the Opium act) which prohibits cannabis. & there are operative laws (the ones the police follow) which restricts the sale to those that have a license and allows them to have a certain amount in store along with some other rules. The former law usually beats the latter laws in court.

What they are doing now is closing some shops, so that people will flock to other shops. Once another shop is becoming popular, they cannot run their business without having more cannabis in store than is allowed (500grams), so they have reason to close it and so on and so on. As noone can open a coffeeshop because they don't give out new licenses, in the end it boils down to choking the entire industry through a legal loophole.

The opium law is an international law........ with provisions so that some people are not covered . Thats why the native american indian church and all the ayahuasca churches are allowed to exist . Its also the reason Holland can sell cannabis and it is liberalised in Italy , switzerland and Spain .

AGAIN..........As i keep saying....... AGAIN...........What it all comes down to...... AGAIN........is fighting . If people would get a GOOD solicitor , unite and fight they would have very good cards . Thats what i keep getting so angry about . We are in the position we are in because people wont unite and wont fight . Thats why the ideas i keep putting forward dont happen ......... = EGO .

agreed. Now let me roll my joint and shut up.

I can't read Dutch or German,

So what I am getting from the discussion is that the banks are not going to support the Coffee Shops (illegal business practices or not)?

I fail to see the big deal here...

the big deal is that if all banks close down all bank accounts for every single coffeeshop in Holland... we simply do not have any coffeeshops anymore.

So closing down the coffeeshops is apparently not a privilige from the government anymore...

A big deal to me...

It should seem like a big deal. They are breaking laws as GOD said, and basically just trying to close out the shops, it's quite cynical really. How did these idiots get in to Government over there guys? :(

I got a reply to my letter. Seems the Postbank will continue to do business with coffeeshops that have a permit.

Geachte meneer Verploegh,

De beantwoording van uw e-mail is vertraagd. Onze excuses hiervoor.

Postbank N.V.

So... who isn't telling the truth here? The media or the Postbank? Because in the article they talk about coffeeshops in general, not about "illegal" coffeeshop-holders. Do we have illegal coffeeshop-holders anyway?

Hmm, okay, it indeed looks like the media wasn't telling the truth. Or they just held back with it. Because they aren't going to delete all of the coffeeshop accounts from their database.

restin a dit:
I understand it :P

you know english, dutch, french, german and russian??? :retard:

If you understand german, dutch is not that hard to understand.

"If you understand german, dutch is not that hard to understand."

A lot of words are similar ......BUT its not that easy . Reading a sentance and understanding most of the words doesnt mean you understand what the sentance realy means . One small word can reverse the whole meaning . There are also words that look similar but dont mean the same .

I agree, i also have trouble with reading german(something i never learned.) Of course i can understand some words, but for me it's for example really hard to learn something from a german article.
