Do plants have consciousness?:)

Do you think you would you have had the same reaction by seeing this kid kill the bug if you had never experienced with any psychedelics?

For me this is true. When i found out at a age of 15 or 16 years, that the most animals did not live outside but inside a factory farm, i decided to be a vegetarian. Finally i decided to go vegan and try to avoid as many animal products as possible.

So maybe we could say that psychedelics develop our consciousness?

Before i used psychedelics i was more a atheist. I did only believe in what i could see. But after i tried mushrooms, i decided that there was more. And from then off, i started to read books about spirituality. So for me psychedelics have made me more conscious about the higher realms. What gives me more peace in a normal state. So in someway or the other, you can say that psychedelics develop indeed a different state of conscious.

Haha. Judging by the way they act... not a very good one.

"since there planet is coming back to earth. "

When ? ........ 2012 !!!!! Prove it . Show one single piece of rational evidence .

" Strange dreams "

Exactly .

Hehe, i don't really believe there's really a planet niburu coming to our earth. I think i got this dream because i had seen some documentery's and read some stuff about it. But the nasa has found really a new planet outside the regions of our solar system that is called planet x. And there are lot of conspiracy's out there that says that this could be planet niburu that is heading right to our planet earth. I really can't say if this is true or not, since there are no real evidence for that ;)

Nasa about planet x :

http://www.nasa.gov/vision/universe/sol ... 72905.html

And conspiracy theories:

Google or youtube on niburu, alien giants or NephIlim. And you will find much more conspiracy.

But again, i can't say they have real evidence. So no worry god, 2012 will probably a good nice years if there will be no polarshift which other conspiracy people and some scientist say. If you want to go on, about this subject i think it will be better to start a new topic :P Because now where really going offtopic :P

Mystic :P

Pluto is not a planet its a dwarf planet and like the dwarf planet you are talking about its a part of the Kuiper belt . = it cant be the fantasy planet some esoteric crazys call niburu and its not in a 6000 year orbit .

If a planet existed that was on a 6000 year orbit that went through the solar system it would colide with one of the planets either due to its cource or due to the its gravity and / or the gravity of planets in the solar system . If it was on a 6000 year orbit life would be impossible on it = its from a little above -273°C for most of its orbit and then when it enters the solar system it warms up to ??? depending on how near it comes to the sun . Evolution / developed life with a science and a technology would be imposible .

a dwarf planet still is a planet. it's just smaller than the others...

who knows if the planet with 6000 year orbit returned??? because yes... who knows ?????????????????????????????????????????????? i guess it could be possible and also maybe this planet consists of some crazy element which is unknown ??? but also ... who cares ??? does it really matter if there flies a 6000 year planet by ??? well i am sure it DOES matter, but does it matter for us puny humans ???

Hehehe, the conspiracists have already a solutions for these temperature!!:D This planet would like be a spaceship. The aliens who live there, would be living under the ground :P

But who gives a fuck, if it's true or not. If this planet would really heading to earth in 2012 and i could see it coming, then i would start to worry. But for now, i really don't give a fuck about it.

But this is really offtopic, start a new topic about the possibility's if these myth could be true or not. Maybe some else has something to say about this. I am sorry, but let we now go back to the question, do plants have conscious?

YES plants have consciousess.

I know plants which grew better, because someone spoke to them and treeated them nicely. I also know of plants which are said to have grown better, because of listening to music.

The point is that their consciousness is so different from our consciousness.
The only thing they do: grow. They don't walk around and don't interact with other members of their race in the way we do. They're similiar to human beings though in their core being i think.

But what i can be relatively sure of is that the perception of time in the consciousness of plants would be way different than the normal perception of time from humans, because the adjustment from the plants to their surroundings are bringing benefit to their growth which seems to be a long-term-process rather than a short-term-process, but well i suppose it's maybe a combination of both.

Also they are more a (fixed) part of nature and of the earth, because they are rooted in it and maybe therefore more connected to it which would make sense as plants are necessary for most other living beings on the earth to survive.

Hate to rain on that one - plants like CO2 and you breath it out.

yeah my bad... i can't really prove to you that the plants perceived that someone talked to them and enjoyed it.

i am really convinced of that idea though.

however i don't claim that treating them nice and talking to them gives them a HUGE bost, but i say it does make a big difference, whether one actually cares about the plant and investigates about it and therefore is able to treat it the way "it wants" to be treated.

"plants like CO2 and you breath it out."

Ones that dont grow as well have the co2 their owners breath out as well .

Mystic , the site you mentioned is a comercial site = they say what they say for money .

plants are the most exclusive ,perfectionized and beautiful form of being according to zen teachings.

of course in the category of alive beings, because otherwise stones could be real competitors. :P

hehe the water site is real cool!! maybe i should only drink water that has listened to good music for at least 2 hours or somethin'... of course that goes for my little one (peyote) as well :D

Well do stones have consciousness? There are lots of people who use crystal stones, to heal, to give them strength. I think this will be the placebo effect, but would there a real possibility that people can absorb the conscious of stones?

yes, but i guess it's not the easiest thing to absorb magic from the stones or to bind it to them.

Our division between conscious/unconscious is a product of a false sense of hierarchy. Flowers are expressions of joy. Look at them.

Flowers are expressions of joy. Look at them.

Flowers are so beautiful. People looks for beauty to far...cough Christians cough, if people would only look at nature around them, they would see they are already in heaven!

PEACE & LOVE

Enough said. I don't think plants are conscious, I just don't think they need to be. It's a great planet we come from.
