It made me think, organisms such as tree's. Do they have a minor knowledge of external sensory?

Lately I had some dreams about it, and even felt like a plant.

Since there are some humans who fall off to sleep or in coma sometimes and remain with <1% of their awareness compared when we're fully awake. Could plants have such a minor % also? :)

After all, if a human would sleep for eternity, we'd just look at him or her as a plant.

Tell me, when the winter comes, does a tree react to it's external environment? I believe they do have a consciousness; some plants you can actually experience their consciousness: Psilocybin Mushrooms; Ayhauasca; DMT, Salvia etc. They may be operating at a higher level of consciousness than humans, after all they have been here much longer than us humans. Sort of off topic, but I get a kick out of these Christians. I have relatives that are born again Christians, and when we told them we went to the red woods and seen a 5000 year old tree, they laughed and asked, "How can a tree be older than this Earth?" They actually believe the Earth is 4000 years old. Come on people the evidence is right in front of your face! Actually really off topic, but I find it so funny!

PEACE & LOVE

I believe everything is conscious, but limited to the actions that they are able to perform.

At least they have been much 'smarter'. They were already here 65 million years ago when the Dinosaurs were here.

And I'm pretty sure if all humans have passed away, they're still running.

I am conscious . I am a whole , the sum of all my parts . Parts that evolved in unison and complementary to eachother . My brain thinks = its conscious . My fingers dont think . Does that mean that my fingertips arent conscious ? Arent a part of that consciousness ? Dont play their role ? A vital role in that i wouldnt be me without them .

Isnt the planet the same ? It grew together , in symbiosis with each of its parts . I am a part of the planet and i`m conscious . Doesnt that mean that the planet is conscious of itself ?

Isnt the universe the same ? It grew together , in symbiosis with each of its parts . I am a part of the universe and i`m conscious . Doesnt that mean that the universe is conscious of itself ?

What are you talking about? The Earth is only 4000 years old.

And who knows, maybe the plants have transcended. Maybe their physical body is what we perceive, and their spirits have left and they are living among the cosmos in multiple dimensions.

Maybe cornflakes are strawberrys in disguise .

plants are the secret rulers of the planet!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111

I like to see a consciousnes as a crosspoint of streams of information. Everything has a mind, but it's hard to recognise another type of mind. When two types of mind are similar, like you and your dog, it's easier to recognise the spirit behind the machinery. The mind, spirit, consciousnes,... spans between the input and output of a system. You can consider living beings as advanced chemical reaction vessels... so why won't even a small chemical reaction have a consciesnes that spans over the reaction system? The sum of all these metabolic reactions makes up our consciesnes, as we make up the consciesnes of our cities...

:smoke:

I like that .

We are conscious . Our brain , the seat of our consciousness was built in layers over millions of years . Isnt it so that each layer represents a different stage of evolution . Going from reptile up to us ? = where did consciousness start ? I think each layer was conscious to the limits of its structure . Just as all life has a consciousnes coresponding to itself . Do we have to define consciousness as being aware of our beig as humans are aware of it ? ( If humans had a real consciousness they would be conscious of the results of their actions and we / the planet wouldnt be in the shit ) . Are we mixing up consciousness and intelligence . Who are we to try to impose our standards of whats consciousness / intelligence on other life forms . Put a person outside with no food and no clothes and he would soon die . Do it with every other life form and it would survive = its more intelligent specific to its needs .

Wow, nice talk !

There's a recent movie talking about plant's collective consciouness : The Happening. By the same director that produced The Village and Signs.

Peace and Love ;-)

The more i think about us as humans, the more i gonna believe that we are some very strange sort of living organism. Especially if you look at us and then observe all the animals and nature around us.

Yeah that's right... I've come to believe that humans aren't 100% earth beings. I think something came from outside our planet and it resulted in the creation of humans. Who knows, maybe we are the result of an alien who came on earth and fucked with a monkey

I REALLY like what GOD and Meduzz had to say.

If humans had a real consciousness they would be conscious of the results of their actions and we / the planet wouldnt be in the shit

I agree 100%. Maybe we are not even 100% conscious, and the whole life purpose is to strive towards this pure consciousness. I mean if we were conscious, how could we do the things we do? I remember a moment on our road trip when I was enveloped in the beauty in Montana. I looked to my side, and saw a little kid ask his mother, " Mom what is this?", "It's just a bug", And then the little kid stepped on it, taking it's life! I was sick at the situation and told them to have some respect for other beings other than themselves/human beings. Now if that mother, or child, were conscious of how beautiful that bug really was, how could they take it's life? When one really investigates how perfect, and how vital the little bugs purpose in life was, they would be in tears at the beauty! People are ignorant to the beauty of other living organisms. If people only knew how perfect the moment they were living in they would have a hard time not crying. Now you tell me a fully conscious being could take another beings life. If you were fully conscious of how perfect that other being was, or you were conscious of what you were doing, then you could not do it. We are not conscious , and I would put money one that plants are more conscious than we are. If you observe a plants actions, you find only peace.

Then that would mean psychedelics literally expand consciousness, and perhaps are the way to gaining this pure consciousness. I'm pretty tired right now so at the moment I'm not able to really explain my thoughts, especially in english...

Do you think you would you have had the same reaction by seeing this kid kill the bug if you had never experienced with any psychedelics?

I mean, for me psychedelics really made me more conscious of how we are connected with nature and how life is important, in all of its forms.

My first psychedelic experience was with an ecstasy pill. At that time I had no idea about all that psychonauting thing, for me drugs were just for having fun. And it's the only reason I took that pill that night: I wanted to have a good time. But then at the peak, I felt an opening in my mind, and a flow of extreme lucidity, like I had the answer to everything in the world. I had a deep introspection and became conscious of things about me and life that were like non-existant for me before. So maybe we could say that psychedelics develop our consciousness?

"the consciousness is like a teenager's button, that is useless and will dissapear"
(It must be the way Nietzsche saw it)

a strange thing animals like us didn't need and idiot people think they know a lot about it, instead of knowing their basic instincts

I feel like Krishnamurti is true, we are conditioned by a lot of things and just watching them without the need of freedom will set us in front of ourselves, our self-consciousness

basic/mass consciousness is dangerous as we can see with politics, sciences,...

peace

ooooops I thought I read "do YOU have ..."

It's a little off topic, but i think you referring to the story of the Sumerian tablets, the story of the annunaki? :D Well maybe they will come again, since there planet is coming back to earth.

The fun thing is, that i dreamed about the planet niburu last week. The planet was lighted, it looked like a moon, and i could see there planet just like a map. With al lines as borders etc. But i feeld horrible because this planet was almost striking like a match to our earth. We people where al shocked and felt like we could fall of our planet. But then the planet niburu dissapeard again in the universe and we all survived. :D But i did not saw any alien. At least i cannot remember something like that. Strange dreams :P

Mass conscious can also be positive if the inputs coming from the right direction. Remember that everything has an opposite. Above so below etc.

Greets,

No. If everyone was conscious of everyone else and everything else, they could not do other harmful things because they would be aware of what they are doing, and could not do it.

In a way they have made me more sensitive to nature. Even before my first psychedelic experience I still loved natured and cared about animals and plants. Basically I was a hippy from the day I was born. :D

So maybe we could say that psychedelics develop our consciousness?

I believe so yes.

"since there planet is coming back to earth. "
