That's not the point. You cannot prove that something (i.e. a cannabis-related illness) doesn't exist. Even if I can't name you one. I am not the grandmaster of all knowledge, you know.

I know that absence of evidence does not prove anything. Still, thousands of years of use... where are the symptoms, where are the victims? My comment was in context. And I sustain it.

I agree that until we find something we should maintain that cannabis does not cause illnesses, but we must never think that it is proven that it doesn't, because then you're a sucker for dogma.

^Fair enough.

But cannabis is bad for the short term memory, right, i think we all experience that ourselves, how is that part explained in the brain, is it because of the dead brain cells dissapearing faster or shi? i think theres a more difficult explainenation for that...anyone knows the explaination?

greeeeetz :weedman:
mush

depends how you use it and I would even go as far and say it depends on the strain. Sativa strains are better for mental accomplishments.

The only reason why I forget where I was is, because my conscious mind is not as fast as the rest and that is racing ahead. So I loose track once in a while.

Another thing to consider is, that if you only get wasted without purpose then a degeneration of the minds capacity may happen. Typical stoner cliché.

Yes , use it or loose it is true for mental capacity and fluidity of thinking . But when you stop smoking it all comes back . Its like building muscles . I smoked extreme amounts every day for very many years . It altered my moods and effected my short term memory . It didnt do damage to it becaus things still got to my long term memory . = I often forgot what i was talking about in the middle of a sentance but if i waited for ten minutes or so i always remembered it .

yes. i know this problem with the short-term-memory...

but maybe i have exagerated it so much, that it reversed?? because i have that, too... i am talkin about somethin and suddenly *woof* i completely forget what i was talking about and am totally confused :D

however, time has proven to me, that when i have this, i can almost instantly switch and remember really fast, it's like i have taught my mind to build these "bridges" automatically???

i don't say i can do that always but when i am relaxed and i can be very stoned then most of the times it works for me.... also maybe because it has proven to be important to remember things that happened like 1 second ago??? or things that were said 1 second ago by myself or others....

also i agree with the mental fluidity stuff, sometimes wit weed the thoughts seem to be very unfluid, but as i delve deeper into the observing-mind-state i noticed that only my perception on my thoughts had changed of the drug, but essentially not the thoughts itself.

so, well... i guess with weed the mental fluidity and mental capacity probably has to do, how one handles the high... (got to be reklaxed, etc. )

When I'm really high, I can just rewind the conversation I'm having and repeat myself word for word.

I always remind myself that I will remember the important stuff and that the lesson is in the moment of realization, not in the memory.

Man, cannabis can re-store the memory of alzheimer sufferers.

The problem is that if combined with nicotine, the bloodvessels expand and narrow at the same time. This may cause tissue damage.

I have always smoked pure and my short and long-term memory are extremly well functioning. I even brought up forgotten past memories from my childhood while high.

Hell, I'm even carrying more responsibility with me in traffic after a pure toke than when I have drinked too much coffee. Pure Cannabis makes you very aware of danger and there's a general detailed orientation about what's going on in your environment.

I just don't know, IMO all the negativism is due to the pharm industry and many other capitalists. I doubt pure grass daily even harms your lungs.

If cannabis is know as narcotica, then why are my nipples and cock 4 times as sensitive as when I'm sober? :\

i think anything smoked and inhaled produces free radicals and free radicals are not beneficial for the lungs??? but i don't know whether they really do harm to the lungs or they are just not good....

i agree on the effects of cannabis.... when vaporized or eaten i think the relation between benefit and investment are the greatest... (cannabis is expensive :? )

@Fork i had this also quite often and when i am really high it sort of feels like i am becoming one and then all the thoughts in my brain align to the oneness.
sort of like entropy.
