The stones / corels that you were talking about would work ok , probably the towels to . Or wet sand . Or just water so long as your cakes are not standing in it . What did you put in the cakes , if it was perlite , cat litter or something similar use that . Its not realy important so long as its not something that will rot .

Thats what flyingkite and me are talking about . Dont make yourself to many problems , the water , what ever its on will keep the atmosphere wet enough . Just cover your container with see through plastic and open it a few times a day to let air in and other gasses out .

You didnt answer when i asked what you had used in your cakes so i take it that your cakes are made of rye or some other grain . Thats probably why you have so much contamination . On your next run try using rice . Look in the net and use the PF method . Its easyer and not asociated with so much contamination .

To explain the mold problem...i had a helper who was looking after cakes, and i know he inhaled the advanced contaminated cake few times, hes a good friend.before 2 days i took them home. today i found out ( i talked with friend only trough phone and shortly stoping by his place to see cakes) hes dad is probably dying from damaged liver. Friend is an old school drug user who has heeld himself from addiction tottaly but still has slight problems with schizophrenia...he has clay granules and everything so i wont disturb him in the difficult situation and go with the paper towels in my small terrarium.
