this seems to be one of the best places to ask.. any chemists out there?

On some website they sell:
PHOSPHORUS STANDARD, 1 = 1 P

If I understand correctly, this would be Red Phosphorus (PHOSPHORUS STANDARD) because that is the most commonly sold allotrope. Please tell me if my logic is incorrect, just so i don't buy 2 pounds of yellow/black phosphorus.

Thanks.

Two times adverts = Two times against the site rules . Do you work for them ?

3 times to many . The moderator must be otherwise engaged .

Hey...I only posted this question twice and that was only because the other time I posted was deep at the end of a thread and I wasn't sure if anyone noticed it...

I don't mean to be advertising anything illegal...?

I don't know why my question breaks any rules...the freedom of information act in the U.S.A. allows for anytime of information to be posted online even if it's how to build a bomb...

If i am breaking one of the rules of this fourm please inform me so that i don't do it again...

I was just wondering if standard phos is red phos...was i too specific in my question? does anyone know? It's not illegal to answer my question so i don't understand why you guys would think i'm the DEA or something...

I just removed the site as it is not significant to your question. People should be able to answer this question without it. Please only post a retailer if it is functional (i.e. for reviewing or something). I also removed this identical question from the other thread.

Hey shulginistheman i don't know why the people above were acting so assholeish to you but i think standard phosphorus refers to white phosphorus, a highly reactive allotrope, though I may be wrong it has been awhile since chem class.

anyone else have any ideas?

If anyone has as little idea as you i hope they shut up . The guy posted the same thing 3 times and it was adverts , the sort of adverts that atract the eyes of big brother . Read the site rules and you might understand .

And welcome to the forum .
