hey, anyone know the average yield of a terrestrially grown cannabis plant?

i know it varies from strain to strain and with the different growing techniques and procedures, but i could really use a good average if anyone's got one

What do you mean by terestialy grown ?

I`ve seen people get 600 grams from a square meter from under lights .

First of al:

How many watt would your lamp be?
How many lamps?

If you want a maximum result you should scrog your plants!
It's a bit of work, but it's in my opinion one of the best ways for a maximum yield.

Scrog is screen of green.

I would advise you to use 600 watt lamps and dont use scrog for best yields .

And why wouldn't you scrog it?

Greetz

Why would you ?

because you spread the plant over a net or something like that and the whole plant catches the light.
So everything is equally divided and no lumen/kalvin's are lost.

= you think you can get as much return from one plant with one root as you can from more plants ? How ? Why ?

Why would I scrog one plant while I can scrog at least 5 of them? :)
(not now anymore, because we have our troubles)

But yes sorry, I should've been more detailed! :)
Sowwy

?????? Why scrog 5 plants ? Over what amount of square meters ? And what was your best return from a square meter ?

Remember i`m talking about up to 600 grams of dryed bud per square meter .

Let's say 3 square meters, if not more.
I never grow on a square meter though

I don't use 600 watt, I have 2x400 watt hps bulbs... But I can't use them now :(

600 gram DRY bud on one square meter is a real good accomplishment!
That's like 16 plants we are talking about man! lol
I was thinking in smaller terms haha

I would never place that much plants (in case the cops come).
So I haven't harvested that much yet :)
However outdoors/guerilla we managed to yield more then a kg once.
But that were 9 plants (actually ten but one died) spread out over the forrest.

OK , we understand eachother . I was talking about 16 plants per square meter and one 600 watt lamp for 1.5 square meters .

A 400 watt lamp is optimal for a square meter allthough 1.5 works to .

I`ve seen 500 grams from one plant outside .

I have tried guerilla growing loads of times and would never do it again . To many thieves , rabits and deer . Plus the pig risk and you cant controll the growth . The best place is ones own garden .

by terrestrially grown i mean in soil (not hydro)

and i was going to go with 400watt lights. are 600watt lights preferable? im assuming just becuase of more juice...

still don't know what strain im going to grow yet through, and that makes a big difference

some plants like to be spread some dont produce any more. i was getting on average 3.5-4oz from a plant triggered it 45cm under a 1000w hps. sometimes more sometimes less. mainly indica strains

I dont know if its still true but 600 watt lights used to be the most effective . Maybe it was something to do with the light to heat ratio . = You cant get a 1000 watt light so close to your plants and more sources is better than less .

But maybe its changed . I havent looked at lights for a few years .

There is a big difference between professional/serious growers and hobby growers . Hobby growers grow all sorts of blah , blah names . Serious growers grow for strength and weight of harvest . Serious growers use the best/most effective methods and wouldnt touch scrog with a barge pole .

Hi God,

Yes, 16 plants in 11L pots would definitly give you a good yield.
But for me that is way too much!
We are 2 blowers smoking about 3grams a day, sometimes less, sometimes more.

If our outdoor project works out we have more then 150 grams dry bud.
That's enough to keep us warm in the winter .
I haven't guerilla'd this year neither, because we moved out and I don't know the neighbourheid that well here.
Before my outdoor was planted in the ground here, I grew her in my previous staying.
I gave one away because it was stretching out and I don't like such plants.

1000 watt is definitly a great bulb, BUT... if you can use more then one square meter I'd advise a 2x600 watt. More room to spread out the plants.

Serious growers don't use scrog? I find it really hard to believe.
it's just another opinion on something.
If you can place 16 plants, ok then I wouldn't scrog neither.
But if you want to keep things sane, I'm sure 5 plants in scrog would bring up more then 5 plants without scrog.
Just my opinion.
However, everything is relative on how long you grew them before placing in flowering.

Respect

"Serious growers don't use scrog? I find it really hard to believe.it's just another opinion on something. "

No insult ment . I mean that people that grow for quantity wouldnt use scrog . I understand what you mean about people only wanting to grow a few plants and in that case i think scrog is a good idea .

We understand eachother :)
oh, and even if it was an insult, that's ok!
I'm a lover not a fighter!

Talk to you later

- 1 plant in scrog

&00 gramma from a square meter looks like this .
