WTF ! (Shroom weight...)

Hi everyone...

As some of you may already know, I've bought a growkit a few weeks ago...

After taking the second flush, nothing happened for a few days, firstly I thought that the growkit was dead, but as I'm not *very* tidy, I didn't threw it away and he stayed on one of my table...

This morning I was happy to see that a nice, single & cute lil' shroom had popped during the night...

...and when I came back home this evening and looked at the growkit, I had one of those priceless "OMG WTF !?!?" moments :

The cute, lil' shroom had turned during the day into a HUGE one, hell, a few more cm and the plastic bag around the growkit would have been too small for it : ||||

I totally new into shrooms cultivation (if you can call watering a growkit and waiting for the shrooms to appear cultivation), and I may be only impressed by something that's actually not uncommon, so I'm asking you guys this question :

Is it usual for a normal, PC (Mexican) to weight 45 gr. ???

I had a 80 grams shroom on my last (and first) growkit, together with a 40grams, the 80grams had grown so hard he splitted in 2 and hang to the ground becouse he couldnt carry his own weight
Ive made some pictures. but theyre reall bad quality...

so yes, I dont think its usual but it happens

The shrooms usually get bigger from flush to flush - especially if you flood the growbox with water after harvesting (remove the water after half an hour or so, you don't want to drown the mycelium). I didn't believe it would make any difference until I first tried it - but since then I have often seen huge shrooms like you described.

That "flooding" is called dunking
It can be done for 12 to 36 hours (in the fridge)

hmm, the guide ive read (the one on azarius) says exactly 12 hours and not in the fridge...
But more and in the fridge is better?
And is it better to just spray it or fully "flood" it?

Flood it, spraying it won't help a bit.
Longer dunking, I don't know if it helps, but I usually do it 24 hours.
My flushes are always great

Dunking is supposed to mimic the heavy autumn rain wich will kickstart the mycelium into growing more shrooms
