the 30th of November is a nervous day for every stoner in Switzerland. Here a short update:

- the Ministery for Health in Switzerland supports the legalization. Funny indeed, that it does so for better control of the weed for therapy and youth protection (which is a good thing IMHO)

- the company of doctors (dunno how to call it) also is for legalization, for the same reasons

- The liberals are for legalization as they say that every individual may make an own choice

- the left anyway, as they are all tokers  no. joke. ehm, yes they are. ehm. whatever.

- the conservatives oppose, as ever. The funny thing, that a major part of the conservatives are farmers, which, of course toke themselves. Therefore I am not sure if everyone who votes for the conservatives also will vote against (quite optimistic thought tho')

- There are about half a million tokers in Switzerland - half a million criminals. This is ca. 7% of the whole population (the thing is we need 51% at least :))

- Cannabis is great :D

- Some stoners fear that when their favourite herb will get legalized, that it will belong to big business and the master plan of the government to make a zombie army...

- most stoners are lazy and forgetting - will they vote??

- from the youth, there are more than 30% that are stoners. That's pretty much, 30% of the youth (min.) are criminals. Unfortuantely, not all of them can vote...

I personally am pretty nervous about it :D

good luck fighting the fine fight..

i'm currently on a trip of sorts in boston and they are having a decrim vote here in a week or 2. apparently the polls are quite in favor.. but the police and certain interests have been airing smear ads with outright lies about mj and the vote.. i guess they are afraid they will be put out of work if the vote passes

Are we talking about FULL legalisation? 100% legal, no restrictions?

yes. in a similar way like alcohol.

I really look forward to that. when I read it the first time I thought it was fake or something..

I'm a non smoker, so I'm not as nervous as you restin.

I think that the vote will not pass, thanks to our swiss-german friends (once again I might add  ).

I really hope to be wrong on this though, and I definately intend to vote in favor of the legislation.

swiss-german? :P Is the romandie pro? Zurich is also pro I guess. The only thing that worries me is the UDC (SVP). Apropos swiss-german: YOUR liberals are also against legalisation, aren't they? :P

The police chief is also pro legalization. In Switzerland, the police has no interest in chasing small weed dealers and peaceful tokers. They want to concentrate mainly on cocaine and heroin dealers (which I think is good).

why? this is nothing more than fertilizer for organized crime, and no solution at all.

hm sorry, I didn't mean only dealers of course. Such rings are big business and the money is used for money laundry, people trade etc etc.

Nothing against cocaine and hero but such stuff is no good.
