Entheogenic : magic when tripping, by far the best music for tripping I have ever heard.

Pretty much anything, but my favorite stuff to trip to is IDM, ambient and psytrance. Maybe some post-rock here and there but something really special comes out in (certain types of) electronic music when tripping, I find. And then there's psychedelia of course.

Boards of Canada is my favorite band to trip to. And just my favorite band in general.

Bohren & der Club of Gore?
Awesome band. Do you know of anything else like this? I was totally unaware of Doomjazz until I found 'em.

Well, it's about the only band I know that plays doomjazz and in that fashion, so sorry but I can't help ya, they're pretty new.
Ofcourse there's the Mount Fuji Darkjazz Ensemble, but that doesn't really sound like Bohren & Co

talking heads, CAN, divid burn/brian eno, CAN, the beta band, led zep, morphine and CAN

Buddha bar, Easy all stars, Shpongle, anything goes... bossanova for example, which sounds warmer and more human and beautiful than ever and minimal techno of Gui Boratto which made me immerse completely in a "digital world" in black and white made of nothing more than lights, pixels and 3 dimensional cubes.

coil and the antigroup are best for ketamine- esp coil; somnamulist in an ambulance/the dreamer is still asleep (unlistenable when your strait)

My favourite alltime trip album is Nothing lasts from Shpongle. Like to listen to Pink Floyd (early albums and atom heart mother), Porcupine Tree (great psychedelic rock music, albums Voyage 34, Up the down stair are great). All kinds of classic hippy music like the Beatles, Jefferson Airplane (Surrealistic Pillow), The Dead, Hendrix, Country Joe and the Fish and offcourse The Doors.

I also like ambient/electronic music like Shulman, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Infinity Project, Xela, Younger Brother, Aphex Twin and stuff.

Also an album I can greatly recommend for inner voyages is The Mystery of the Yeti, its from Posford, so you cant go wrong ;)

Peace

Yeah... Simon Posford is a genius. I love Shpongle, Younger Brother, and some of the Hallucinogen tracks.

I also like Shulman, Entheogenic, Ishq, Ozric Tentacles, Solar Quest, VA and many more... I really like Ott too, but I always seem to feel uncomfortable and restless while tripping on his music. Don't know why.

Etnica - Alien Protein
Battle of the future Buddhas - Twin Sharkfins
Samadhi & Fungus Funk - Vostok

I love Joy Division when i'm on shrooms

stuff i've listened to while tripping in the past while..

my bloody valentine, coil, autechre, richard devine (intense heheh), curve, beck, scala, mastodon, boards of canada, ulrich schnauss, the orb, field recordings of ritual drumming from ghana, haiti, etc

whatever happens to be in my ipod basically at the time :D
