If you would burn book(s) what would it be

Non .

"Wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen."
("Where books are being burnt, in the end people will be burnt as well")
Heinrich Heine, 1820

A few years ago I have been actively reminded about that, when I opened a book by Immanuel Kant in the philosophic library at the university of Tübingen (Germany). It was on some pages stamped with the swastica of approved literature. No joke, it was a pre-1940's book that still had the original stamps in it!

THE TORA!!!

Tora=Hebrew word for the old testament

the new testament too.... so that nobody can refer anymore to those stupid scriptures....

peace. :weedman:

i burned a Bible while de-programing myself. i was brought up catholic, if i join al'queda im a bad catholic. i burned a novel i am/was writing. it was for the best

I used to ritually burn every school book when the year was over. That is, untill they got interesting enough :)

when i was young i was in a yeshiva(super religious jewish school) and i wasent religious so i snapped one day shouted "fuck you" in the court(the center of main building) of the school while holding a burning copy of the old testament

got me thrown out in 5 minutes

helped my deprogramming as well

besides that burn any anti psychedelics book not that i know of any

dont have any antipsychadelic books. except medical books. none of the psychiatry books like psychadelics but im sure that attitude is about to change..

im loling at razors story. even as a child its hard to believe religious education. i clicked early on when i was told about the virgin birth bit.

the best use i ever found for a bible was to plug a hole in a bothy (mountain hut open to all)wall. it was winter and it was that or burn it for heat but now that bible will keep everyone a bit warmer till the mice eat it

ok i got one! anything by Nixon including his autobiography and only because he outlawed LSD!!

No book should ever be burned. It is intolerance in the fiercest of actions.

Even the "bad" books should be read. Understanding leads to true wisdom and you can only understand something, when you dwell in it. As it has been suggested by many great minds, you should take up a certain believe for a period before you denounce it.

those that burn the bible are not better, then those that burn the koran. willhelm riech's books burnt in the 50ies were as much of an itolerant act, as if you would burn mein kampf.

tolerance is one of the hardest virtues, because you need to understand where the people are coming from. besides... know thy enemy to know thyself.

everyone should burn one book in there lifetime. just like everyone should blaspheme once in there lifetime to remind yourself no matter what you choose to believe none of it is "true" ulitimately

Following PSM's reasoning I don't believe in burning books.

I'd burn the "Da vinci code"... piece of crap!!

but that would not be as much of an action that is focused toward the book as such, biut more against yourself. big difference.

i agree. hating a book makes as much sense as declaring war on drugs. or rocks. or clouds.
but for personal alchemy to free yourself a little

I am surprised nobody mentioned the book of the law.

Magick hocus pocus bullshit
