These days the psychedelic trip for me is not just a drug experience, it's another world. It really feels like a parallel universe.

I feel that as well. Every time I come on a trip I realize I am entering a realm where I've been before. It often feels like I'm visiting someone. Beings. I guess this is what the indians call the mushroom spirits.
I am a rational person, and I don't make beliefs out of everything, but these beings are just always there in my feeling when I enter a trip. Can't do anything about it, the feeling is just there...

I like my trips so strong that I really can't go out anymore. When the trip is strong enough then your mind almost explodes from stimuli by itself, in the dark with no music. That's when it really gets trippy, because you know you can't turn anything down or off now, it's all just inside your brain!

mushrooms are pretty much the only psychadelic that has given what felt to me like a real religious experience. In that i felt i was sommunication with God.

the mischievous ones can detect your fear and will play off that, confusing you and giving you a rough time. Not in a nasty way, but in a teasing way. But if you laugh and go along with their cheekyness, they'll respect you more for not taking everything so seriously and so will be more friendly.

hehe when i read that i thought of my attitude around big playful dogs, you know how some people become really uneasy with them and that in turn is like an incentive for the dog to be more aggressive and so on. you really could say that about beings in general, i guess.

i stare at them and keep my stance to let them know i'm not impressed by their display of power so they don't fuck with me :)

show no weakness or fear and you will be stronger whether you feel so or not
its like the way your attitude and the way you present yourself externally effects how others think of you
if you are weak then you are seen as prey or one to be dominated, if you are strong you are seen as one to be respected

There is nothing to fear, But fear itself and Fear Breeds Fear.

Maybe what you experience is a perception of peacefull and wrathfull dieties?

Read about the Bardo?

"There is nothing to fear, But fear itself and Fear Breeds Fear."

This is an old saying but it has no place in psychedelics . What it says is that if you have fear you have to fear it . You can be scared of it and it breeds more .

Fear is normal and anyone who doesnt have fear is a danger to himself . Fear has to be acepted . Fear is your friend , it helps you survive . Understand it , acept it and realise its a usefull function of your mind . Dont build it up . Dont get woried about it . Either you can do that , see it neutraly or psychedelics arent for you .

"Maybe what you experience is a perception of peacefull and wrathfull dieties? Read about the Bardo?"

And maybe its reading things like that and not understanding them . People tend to take that to seriously , make self diagnosies and label things = sentance themselves to even more problems . Fear is you , its not deitys . Theres no point in reading things like that if you are going to take them as fact and believe every word as written . Its a description , a guide to thinking and not something to see as fact . Its a bit like Casteneda , very many people took it as fact and started a cult of worship . Gave up their own independance and believed he was a infalable source of truthes . The same with bagwan . We arent clones . We have free will and a brain that we should use . We shouldnt surender to being a bad copy of a bad copy of a guru or book that we dont realy understand .

The bardo was written very long ago for primitive people who had no education and no understanding of mental functions / psychology . Its a bit like a parable that uses things like fairys , ghosts and spirits to help people acept things . Its nothing more than that . Those daemons dont exist .

This frightens me . People read it and other books and just acept the surface , the words as written and dont think about the fact that the words are ment to get you to THINK , to try to understand a situation .

So , again , in another way .

Our brains are divided up into several levels that developed one after another . Very primative life forms from which we evolved from didnt think in words they usd images to see and understand things . Like instead of thinking "Hey i fancy a fuck" they imagined a pair of mega tits , or instead of thinking "Oh ! shit i need to be carefull i`m in danger" the saw an image of a snake , monster or a lion , or something similar . When they felt hungry they didnt think "I could do with a piza" the saw an image of a nice juicy fruit and their mouths started watering .

A big part of the subconsciousness still works with images . When we take psychedelics it can / does effect the borders between the subconsciousness and the consciousness . It can disable some of the filters that the brain has that control what information travels / rises from the subconsciousness to the consciousness . THIS IS THE SAME FOR PSYCHOTICS AND SCHITZOPHRENICS . Just because our borders and filters have been changed and we see images of animals , beings , daemons we shouldnt believe that they realy exist and / oir that we are posesed . We shouldent believe in them and give them substance or we create and substantiate posible sever mental problems .

They are ways of seeing things , situations and understanding them and nothing more . Dont create your own daemons , dont learn to haunt yourself .

Yeah, that works on dogs :)

But when you try it with mushrooms they take offense to it :P

I think it also works with mushrooms. At least it often worked for me at some point where I just couldn't stand it anymore when I got up and said "you can't scare me, I'm stronger than you!" "Go away!". Even more so when I was underlining my threats with a few magical gestures. Always gave me so much mental strength to concentrate on myself and what I wanted again - and to feel just strong.

Depends on the level of trip you are in, I think. At some point, nothing helps except pure surrender...

You obviously dont understand what I meant.

If you have fear you will encounter it, One often meets what one wants to avoid on his path to avoid what ever it is one is avoiding. The fear breeds fear bit applys to psychedelics intensly on the basis of once the fear takes hold it becomes alot worse as you begin to panic, Generating more fear.

In all honesty what is there to fear in a psychedelic experience?

Some one who has no fear in all situations is obviously a danger to themselves and others but you have taken my words out of context, Im talking about the psychedellic experience.

Also the Bardo is buddhist religious text still used today and supported by the book of Mary Magdalene, designed to take the spirit to the next level and is still used today, So how did you get your conclusion??
Notice the word I used too? "Perception" of dieties....

" So how did you get your conclusion?? "

From reading the original and the leary versions and understanding them and also by reading what people like leary said about them .

Tell a person on a trip that has a little fear that the only thing to fear is fear !!!! He will flip out . All you would be doing is telling him to believe in his fear , to be scared of it . Dont be scared of fear its part of you . If your scared of fear your scared of yourself . You cant win if you fight against your fear / yourself . Acept it , learn to respect it , make friends with it and that way you can have more controle over it and yourself . You dont have to take it so seriously .

yes, laugh if you can. that usualy confuses them

I just want to point out... these things are in your head.

They are manifestations of your own imagination.

"That usually confuses them"

The Bardo Thodol traditionally is read to a dying or dead person, so that he or she may be liberated from the cycle of samsara through hearing. The dead or dying person is guided through encounters in the bardo with wrathful and peaceful deities, beautiful and terrifying, which are to be understood as projections of mind.
