Spice,
yes you're right. And yes i know what you iz talking about...
I actually grew up with hiphop in my neighborhood.
Not rap, hiphop. And yes, i am a whitey, a white boy!
2 pac was actually one of few people who understood, and could've made changes.
He maybe did change something. Who knows.
He was very powerfull, which also was his downfall.
He was murdered, probably by the lovely people at the c.i.a. during a carchase.
Same goes for biggie smalls a.k.a. Notorious b.i.g.
They fought for peoples right to exist and have a normal life; for one.
Very much anti american government.
Which by itself is dangerous over there...
They came from the gutter, all the way to where they were when they were killed.
Those two were very talented people.
No dumbass "gangster" crappers like 50 cent or some other shithead.
They both had the power to control huuuuuuge amounts of people. Millions upon millions.
Not by mind control, no; just control by truth and hope.
It was not real control, it was more like making people aware.
They could've made those millions upon millions move towards a revolution if you ask me.
Both were killed because they were seen as a national threath.
They didn't kill each other. That's media bullshit.
Yeah that surely seems logical if you read all the media hype,
or only heard from them via the media,
but the media just mindwarped everyone like they always do.
It's like when you make a movie of somebody that exists in this world but nobody has ever heard of.
The person get's displayed as a murdererous gangster who gives a damn about lives in the movie.
Then all of a sudden this person appears in real life in the media, where else!
The person is actually the dude from the movie EVERYONE HAS SEEN.
What will people think of this person? Never seen him, only seen a movie of him?
After such mindwarping by the media
it's only one small push away from disposing of such a person.
After the actual setup was executed by the media,
who gave a damn if those "fucking gangsters" died?
nobody.
It is just convinient (grammar?) for the government to label people as such.
They often do that to get the world on their hands you know.
"That's a bad guy, we must get him, or he must die!"
You hear it all the time. And most people, gullable as they are dont even think twice about it.
So they both magically died, and nobody cared.
Seriously that shit is still pissing me off so fucking bad.
The american government with help from the media can do whatever the fuck they want.
If they tell us 1+1 =3 from now on, wtf is anyone going to do?
The ones that stand up, get dealt with real quick.
Governments are soooo scared of their own people.
And it serves them right, if you beat a dog every day,
the dog will snap back at one point and eat your face if it can.
Music is a way to fight back and have people fight together as one.
Bob marley had a famous song about it.
A LOT of music is about fighting against the opressor.
Get enough people together; the government will notice it and get scared.
If you want a nice example of what a scared government can do;
Try to find some info about Kevin Mitnick. Or Bernie S.
Those were / are computernerds that got put into jail,
without trial for 4 years.
2600 made a documetary of how bad it was.
The media broke them into pieces,
which then ofcourse in the eye of the masses justified the fact that they never got a trial for 4 years.
Now that's the u.s. government at it's best.
Evading human rights wherever possible, whenever they see fit.
God i hate that fucking american government. Bunch of clueless ass -eaters / -humpers.
Oke but back on track, still hating the u.s. government from the bottom of my heart:
The best hiphop artist to me, is K.R.S. one.
He is and was a groundbreaker.
Many people use samples made by him, or just taken from him.
He is the master of lyrical art.
A hip hop artist, but he is something special.
Studied at harvard, tought at yale.
Well versed musical artist, politician, poet and philosofer.
I think he was also seen in the movie: "fall of the republic: the obama deception".
No swearing, cursing. No money talk, no chicks talk. Nope.
Music about things that matter and mostly uplifting and positive.
( I am not saying chicks don't matter, 'cause they damn sure do )
This is a track from 1989:
Who protects us from you?
It really has some awesome lyrics.

2001:
why?
Same thing, awesome lyrics.

2001;
the awesomest piano arpeggio ever heard in hiphop.
Shut up a your face!

I can often relate to this political, poetical, philisophical music very much.
It has a deeper meaning then just the bass you hear or claps you listen to.
It often carries a message, which is truthfull and pretty clear for most listeners.
But that's what hiphop is.
Hiphop is something you live. Hiphop culture is more then music.
So sorry for the much off topic ranting, but i have read and read it, over and over, and this is really
as minimum as i could make it. And yes, i can get pretty emotional and / or pissed off
when it comes to these subjects.
But music is often political, and often emotional.
It should also be very obvious i hate the american government and their ways.
They are the puppet of the people who really have control over the world,
and i just hate them all.
So maybe that's a nice thought for another thread
I will have a look at that triumph text and video later.
