Yesterday I saw Lemon Tree, which was beautiful, the Arab-Israeli conflict in a nutshell.

Rachel Getting Married was pretty good too. Anne Hathaway plays a marvelous role of an ex-addict visiting her family, tearing open old wounds in the process.

Ip Man, its about Yip Man who taught Bruce Lee Wing Chun. it was in Cantonese so i only understood about a quarter of it. some excellent martal art scenes.

will probably go and check out watchmen too, once the rush dies down..

I saw the first half of Religulous on YouTube. When I wanted to see the other half, it was taken down.

Most recently: Starsky & Hutch (not so funny), School of Rock (funny), Nacho Libre (very funny), The Empire Strikes Back. And Borat was on TV just now, but I only saw the ending.

I was at the mall last week, can't exactly tell the movie title, it started out of the blue. What I thought of it was how it could have come to this hollowness.

Memento.. about a guy who has short-term memory loss, good movie

also, i watched Primer few days ago. I watched him 2 times, coz i was a bit drunk the first time, and you have to concentrate when u see this movie.

And few weeks ago, i've seen The Dark Crystal. It's an older film, but it's a good one too, however you have to like that genre.

I'm gonna check out Mulholland Drive this weekend, i heard that was a good mindfucking movie too...

I'm gonna check out Mulholland Drive this weekend, i heard that was a good mindfucking movie too...

Dark Crystal and Muholland Drive are definitely two on my list of favorites. Both Henson and Lynch are terrific at making incredibly dreamlike sequences..

i watched it and it was quit good, although I expected more of mulholland drive. I didn't understand him actually lolz
It was a bit too long imo, but those lesbain scenes in it came right on time to keep watching the movie ..

I also saw Dark City last weekend: very good one great schizophrenical storyline

Which one, the new one or the tarkovsky version? i'm a fan of tarkovsky

Haven't seen the Tarkovsky version yet, so the new one.
But I like the new one alot, definitely the soundtrack.
Such a nice ambient movie, with a wonderful soundtrack.
George Clooney doing something he has never done before.

But I heard the 2 versions aren't comparable, because the new version is another adaptation to the book.

yeah, they're very different movies. tarkovsky has a particular style i have to be in the right headspace for.. minimal but quite visual, slow but with very rewarding moments.. a lot of his films seem to focus on mystical/spiritual experience which i dig

just watched Fido. its pretty funny for a zombi movie

The last three movies i watched are :

Slumdog Millionaire
12 Angry Men
Gran Torino

The first one is good, slightly overrated in my opinion.
The second one is now part of my top 5 ever.
The third one is very good, a serious candidate for 2009 best movie.
