This is my San Pedro:

I got it last year in octobre. And it grew not even 5 cm's. It is now 28 cm.
So i'm wondering: what am i doing wrong?
Should i pot it in a bigger pot? Something else then as substrate? Give it extra food?

Hints & tips please.

Also; would it be wise to make cuttings out of it allready?

i think you can always cut, but thats not wisely because you need a big amounth to trip..
if you want to cut, just cut of the top and put the top back in the ground. he will grow by himself.
but if i where you i would wait more

Aren't you asking yourself why yours cacti have grown only 5cm? This is cause roots are not probably grow to proper size. Or you have maybe replant cacti into to big pot, cause it is relatively large pot. Large pots induce cacti to make roots. And you will see that trough this month and after yours cacti will rapidly starts to grow. And look at yours cacti, it is fat plant, so it is hard to enlarge this so fast as you want. Of course you can make cutting easy and with high production. But if you cut it let it be on the air until you see worm like thing that are coming from part that will be roots. Than you can replant it into soil. And water it every second day with one dcl. of water. This maybe yours cacti needs. Water is 80% of cacti!

Get a bigger pot (much bigger, the roots need a lot of horizontal space). Then put it in the sun and water it every day, don't forget to fertilize.

If there's no sun and you water it too much it will grow thin (this is the case in winter, so don't water it in winter).

Last summer one of my cuttings grew from 6cm to 35cm because it was sunny every day. This year my new cuttings haven't grown much because it's almost always cloudy so I can't give them a lot of water...
