Okay guys, so a few days ago I'm walking around and what do I see? Apparently mushrooms love perlite and San Pedro's because I see a few little ones growing up right next to one of my pachanois. Now I'm no mycologist but they almost look like Amanita Pantherinas which would make me very happy :P , but I was hoping someone could ID these bad boys, thanks.

Long story short... I would like to taste these, but you know, don't want to really die or anything so even best guesses would be helpful. Thanks.

There's Mushrooms in my Mescaline!!!
Would be far out if there's mescaline in those mushrooms! If that were true, you could make a fortune selling Mescaline cubensis spores.

In this picture I see the head of a sleeping sea-horse... am I weird? It has full formed eye lids, it's the left side of the mushroom... hehe.

I see a sleeping dog.

Eat the shrooms! (just kidding, dont follow my advice. But eat them!)

If those mushrooms are the real deal, then that would be pretty freakin' great. It'd be like Christmas, only better.

Caduceus Mercurius a dit:

I will take entire stock of Mescaline cubensis spores! :D

I had tiny mushrooms pop up in a pot where i was growing Peganum Harmala. What I heard was that its a sign that your potting mix is healthy.

Not that I have that much knowledge about species, but this seems to go off-topic ;) Would be pretty darn awesome though to have mescaline in your mushies O.O

I dunno how it is with cacti, but the only answer to mushrooms growing in the soil of cannabis plants is: remove the soil as fast as you can, get rid of all of it, clean the roots thoroughly. Then re-pot in new soil, and never use the shitty potting soil again that contained the spores (which most garden-center potting soil does...).

As I said before, I don't know how bad it is for cacti, but it can be the certain death of a good cannabis plant if there are certain mushrooms growing on the roots. The mushrooms feed from the roots and prevent the roots from taking up certain minerals and/or water. It's not like in the woods where there are perfect symbioses of trees and mushrooms.

Hello!
This is not regarding the mushrooms, so it's off topic I guess.. But I'm new around here and I'd just like to ask you something.

@ darkwolfunseen: What species and variety is that San Pedro of yours? I've been trying to identify mine, that a friend gave me for my birthday, and it looks exactly like that one! So if you could tell me a bit of what you know about it, I'd appreciate ,)

Thanks

The cactus are fine, so I'm guessing the spores are fine.

Rita: This particular one I just got from a local nursery. They are more of a yellowish green. I've gotten others from more reliable sources and they're a darker green. However, if history has proven anything, both work well. As for the species, I believe it'd be a pachanoi unless there's subspecies I'm not aware of.
