stuff in mushroom substrate

Hey!!

What is it ??? i mean the metal-like looking stuff that looks a bit similar to bronze found in the substrate of shroom grow kits?? well at least i found it in mine, which was a cubensis growkit from azarius. Anybody know what this is ?? is it somethin like minerals for the shrooms?
well probably it is because i saw this stuff being sucked into the stem...
hmm maybe it can amplify perception because this metal stuff absorbed and processed by the shrooms has like electromagnetic effects on the nervous system or brain?? (as it is known that the brain and the nerves work with electrical impulses) well its just an idea, but it would really be kind of interesting to know what they are..

Vermiculite?

It's used to give the hyphen of the mycelium room to grow trough the substrate. And it's not metal it's a mineral. :wink:

well i am not sure if meant this stuff on the pic. 8)
what i was talkin about is like the stuff that you see on the bottom of a stem of a shroom when you harvest it ... i used to wash the rest of substrate and this stuff off and what i saw was that little particles of it were sucked into the stem and to get it out i had to cut it or somethin if you know what i mean...

like little pieces of sand but maybe a bit bigger and also like shiny in light but well i mean in the earth out there there is this stuff too like little metal particles or stone particles and look like that. like .... minerals ... .
well every plant needs this stuff right? i suppose maybe to build themselves up because only water does not do the trick??
if you can make sense out of this you got my respect! if not i dont even care
