Soaked salvia in water

I found on the following site: http://ethnobotany.yage.net/salviax.html

the following quote:

As alcohol holds 1.4 mg salvinorin per ml, and water holds practically none, and a ml of 80 proof vodka holds only 40% ethanol, one might presume 1 ml of 80 proof vodka would hold...

So I think the water only contains the bad stuff...

edit*: I see that warm water can hold a little salvinorin:

cold water negligible keep in mind that as water warms, it carries significantly more salvinorin

What is it you're trying to make then? some sort of sally-D-tea? Cause I don't think that 'll work. Or are you trying to make a tincture or extract? in that case you will NEED alcohol, water just won't do.

Whatever you're trying to make, I think throwing sally in water is absolutely futile.

i dont agree..
if you could take some of the plant-material out of the leaves by soaking them you will have more potent leaves.. at least by weight.
im not sure at what point the salvorin is being absorbed by the water, but im sure you can find that out and keep it at the right temp. let us know about progress ^^

Indeed you can take away some of the plant material, so to have a 'more' concentrated residu. But this will probably only make it like 0.1 times stronger, making an extract would be far more sufficient. But that's just what I think, and I'm only trying to help.

I've read some great tek's on making Sally blotters, it's quite simple and you trip a lot longer(+/-45min.). Never tried it myself though, but that's what i'd be doing if I had some dry normal sally leaves.

just smoke the leaves man, it will do! ^^
ive only recently started smoking leaves because i didnt feel much of them the first few times, but now i feel every time i smoke it the effects are stronger and im sure its gonna continue going that way :>

Yeah smoking it is a good idea too indeed! The buzz from plain leaves is pretty nice, mildly psychedelic and all, and if you try hard enough it will be more than a buzz

@ VerusDeus, do you know where you read that part about making salvia blotters? sounds interesting!
