Sassafras

Hello, for my first of what I hope to be many posts on Psychonaut, I need to help. I was attempting the isolation of safrole by method of freezing using a refrigerator, but it wasn't working. I obtained sassafras oil through a site that said all of their oils are 100% pure, manufacturers grade, and are not diluted with anything. So I ended up with 16oz of sassafras oil. I'm kind of feeling down because I spent around $50. So I guess my question is, should the freezing method work? Thanks in advance!

sassafras slow to freeze. try to put a little bit on a spoon and put this spoon in the freezer so that the sassafras freezes, then put your fridge on the coldest setting and drop that piece of frozen sassy oil from the spoon into the rest of your oil as a seed crystal. that should begin crystal formation.

else you can try a bp test which would be a better idea but you most likely got safrole-free sassafras oil, i'm 99.99% sure of it.
