Question regarding Naptha

is it generally safe to use? I wasn't worried until I stumbled upon this:

Does anyone know if there is a safer substitute to use?

I'd be careful with lighter fluid. You might be able to use ethyl alcohol, or even Vodka as DMT seems to be more soluble in grain and alcohol.

Or lemon juice, even. (water with vinegar or lemon juice added) keep in mind that if you do a water/lemon extract, that it's soluble at low concentrations, so you won't get much (1 mg/mL or less)-- depending on how you do it.

It's more soluble in grain and alcohol. Try Vodka.

Alcohols will mix with the polar phase (water) so you can't discard aqueous junk.

Alternatives are toluene, xylene, DCM,...

Not much safe ones in there

Naptha is horrible, but the thing is, if you do this once a year or less you're going to be perfectly fine.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Luckily I already have some vodka stashed away so I'll probably use that (though I'm always open to suggestions for anything better). Next problem, what's a reliable website for lye? anyone know?

ummm.. hes clearly not using very good lighter fluid. i always test my solutions before using, and when i use ronsonol, there is NOTHING left. when SWIM made some pure DMT, he also used ronsonol, and got pure white crystals (no extra oils, nothing)

use ronsonol. best substance for making pure crystals

Type in ''the soap kitchen'' into google and click on 1st link.........

They are a essex based soap making company that do 500g of caustic soda (powder) for £7 - £10

i completely agree swim had large pure crystals as well
