Peyote Spirit Walks in the US

So I accidently stumbled upon something while I was doing some research regarding Peyote induced 'Spirit Walks'. While under Federal Law in the US Peyote is a Scheduled 1 controlled substance and only make the exception for the Native American Church, there are 5 states in the US that have state laws protecting the use of Peyote of people of all races, for spiritual/religious uses.

As I am not going to name any one site in particular, I encourage you to do research if you are interested in taking a Spirit Walk for spiritual purposes. I just thought I would shed some light on this issue, as most people a lot of people in the States don't have any one to help guide such a powerful spiritual experience.

im native american and just so happens my uncle is a leader/priest/whatever, idk wut they call them and i was fortunate enough to attend an native american church meeting and i have to say peyote is kinda the reason i got into psychonauts cuz really all they do is pray to the creator and see the future/past, visions/ talk to ancesters and shit like that. cant wait till i can go to another one. there was a feeling of togetherness w/ people ive never meant b4 and family and friends. oh and the feast afterwards after is fucking awesome and the best food ive ever fucking ate. hope i shed some insight or sumthing useful to the topic

"Spirit Walk", isn't that voyage or pilgrimage from some centers where people live to the Chiwawa desert. Before that you visit sacred lakes? :?:

Legend sad that Indians or Native Americans at some years from birth of Mother Earth were in land with living God. Avatar was Blue deer. Every day group of hunters went to hunt their prey.This provides to tribes food and clothing. And one time they sow Blue Deer, their God or one of the Highest Spirits. Hunters try to kill him (WHY I DO NOT KNOW, FOR HIS POWERS, IMMORTALITY, SOMETHING ELSE?).
But they only succeeded to wound Him. Then Blue Deer run throe the fields, plains, meadows into desert, Chiwawa desert. In the desert he starts to bleed. He is dieing! But he wasn't mad or angry on humans! He pity them. Every drop of his blood on desert soil turns into cacti, Peyote cacti. By this way Blue Deer wouldn't die and leave people alone for all eternity. When they eat his blood-Peyote, they will meet him again so Blue Deer can help them, heal them, show them solutions for any obstacle, or just talk to them, show ancestors and future generations to the user, simplify meaning of life and show real values and so on, and so on.

How do you pilgrimage to Peyote habitat? Why and when?
Can you tell me and to all of us how has your experience start, from where to which destination.Tell me bout Talking of Elders and what has that mean for you and for you in group. Please how did you use Peyote, how much, which part of day, are you using cacti with root, how do you call Peyote in Native language. 8)

And in the end can you, PLEASE, describe your "psychedelic" and spiritual experience, detailed as you can, how long ceremony lasts, what you learned. 8)

JUSTINNED, you would also like to hear long and detailed true story of DEVO pilgrimage into desert (which desert??), why he do it, who is his grandpa, experience of Peyote voyage and experience of whole trip?!
What he has learned, etc- I HAVE WROTE WHAT WOULD BE NICE FROM DEVO TO DESCRIBE.

we didnt do the the walk and what not idk y we setup the teepee. sweat b4 and then everyone iwho wa doing the ceremony went into the tent. a very odd feeling. they then gave us cornstalks to roll some i guess tobacco and we smoked it and sung then the passed around a jar of ground up peyote and u were supposed to spirt in ur hand and roll it up into A ball me and my brother wanted to get fucked so we were taking handfulls and shoving them in our mouths. the jar came around several times and then a jar w/a shitload of peyote in it. i guess it was peyote in water liike a tea but the particles of peyote were in there to. very very bitter. most bitter thing ever passed around a peace pipe w/flowers and a rattle lots more singing some people puked sorry if im not entirely helpful but im 1/4 indian and live on an indian reservation. doesnt make me special or anything but i guess it has its perks

all right all right. i that day i went to uncles whose house we put the teepee.i helped w/ the poles then the tarp over it. my mom told my uncle id help so he wanted me to sweep out the sweat lodge whinch is has a dirt floor so i thought it funny to sweep dirt. then i watched tv. shitlolads of ppl came then evevryone was getting ready to go in and my mom didnt want me to go in but my uncle told her to let me go in so said fine. my brother was there w/us and i was already close w/him then. so we both went in i cant remember everything but they passed around corn husks or something and then tobacco and we wer supposed to rolla a cig and i suck at rolling so my mom had to help me and actually rolled really good.we smoked them and sorry but i kinda block out the singing. imean its really trippy and weird sounding. so then i remember they passed around a like staff thing or something w/beads on it and i think a rattle.after that iremember passing around a drum and other shit i cant remember. then they brought around a peyote button around the circle and the they gave what i believe was dried up ground peyote my mom told me to take a pinch which mighta been bcuz she didnt want me to get fucked up but idont know. the they got big mason jars w/water and peyote and their shaking them up and then they pass em around and u drink and then my mom said u dont have to i said no im doing it and she said fine but onlty a little i said fine. i tasted it and wanted to barf by far the most horrible thing ive ever tasted! theres alot more but can i get feed back so far?

Very interesting, I wish you remembered more about the sweat lodge experience because that sounds incredibly interesting. I'm sure everyone would like to read more.
