you can't grow these indoor (well, it's possible, but extremely hard) and they need very cold temperature for fruiting.
best time to start a bed is in spring, but you can colonize your spawn earlier ofcoarse.

Yes, that's my idea, I have tried to grow a kit, and my shrooms really were nice, and are still growing, but I want more... heheheh
The ones that I have growing take too long to grow, because they are few, and I want to trip more, and they just arent enough for me and my friends...

Is it wise to do spore print now, without having the terrarium? I cant start growing shrooms right away, because I'm still waiting to start building a new room at my house for that...

if you already have some shrooms growing you can make a sporeprint.
when a cap fully opens cut it off and place it on a piece of tinfoil. put a glass over it.
wait for a day and check, or 2 days.

and now you have a spore print. close the foil and store it in aziplockbaggie or something. you can keep it very long.

here's a printing tek from a faq on the shroomery:

Take a clean material you want to print on (fresh typing paper, index cards, wax paper, tin foil, glass slides....), cut a mature cap off the stem as near to the gills as possible with a clean scalpel or knife and place the cap on the printing material gills down. Cover the cap with a jar. Let sit for about 12 hours. Pick up the cap, fold the print an tape the edges or leave it as is and put into a plastic baggie. Label and store in a dark, cold and dry place.

Gel that´s a good idea! I did it years ago! And i still have spores from the first growkit! But the spores aren´t really so good! /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif The mushis aren´t very strong!
