I have to say I agree with steelynutz. This 'mind expanding' vs 'self-indulgent & damaging' dichotomy thats being applied here is not that solid.
Psychedelics can create very positive changes in a persons life, or they can just be fun, and sometimes they can be extremely damaging. Exactly the same can be said of stimulants.
Unless you believe psychedelics open your chakras or whatever, the action of creating positive change is the same, you have an experience that reveals new/psychologically healthier behavioural possibilities which are then intergrated into everyday life. Whether this occurs from an egoloss trip in a beautiful forest or feeling more alive than you've ever felt before at some dirty squatrave is unimportant, only your ability to apply the lessons when your sober matters.
This 'psychedelics only' attitude is similar to the 'natural drugs only' attitude a lot of people have and is no more valid objectively IMO.
