Hi there.
Time ago I tried to make some mescaline with the cacti I post here.
I've taken about 30 cm long pieces, took out the middle and the spears, blend it all with some water.
Them let it simmer until it was a green pulp. then filtered it through cotton.

Second time I also put it to simmer again after filtration, for too water remained.
And... nothing happened. It was really frustrating, 'cause I put a lot of love and attention in all procedures.

Maybe this is not a Trichocereus Pachanoi?

Or... don't know, any tip?

Thanks a lot guys =)

The top one doesnt look like T.Pachanoi to me because of the colour of the thorns and the general shape .

Are both the same plant, just the first foto is done with flash and macro.
Maybe is becose of the flash that seem so? Surely the flash could not change the shape

The flash wouldnt change the colour of the thorns .

What color should they be?
Just to know, for next cactus checking =)

All the ones i`ve ever seen were beige to beige orange . But maybe someone else has something to say . Have a little patience and i`m sure there will be more coments . Probablöy Goran and / or Mr.Smith can say more .

The second picture looks like it was taken in a botanical gardens , if it was there should have been a sign with it / their names on it . Or ask the people where the picture was taken .

it looks like a cereus to me. because of the ribs on the lower pic. thorns are a bit sketchy for identifying a Trichocereus because there are a lot of differences in the sub species an a lot of hybrids, al with different kinds of thorns. I have seen ash grey to orange brown thorns.

GOD a dit:

Actually, it just was at the border of the street. As this I found some days ago, I post the photos.

Thanks for helping me guys =)

Hrm... Where's Goran? I haven't seen him around for quite a while..... I'm positive he'd know.

I realy think its a Cereus Peruvianus, not psychoactive.

both of them?
And... well, can you tell me how can you say that?

well i don't know about the close up pics, but the larger cacti all have deep ribs, not really trichocereus ribs in my opinion. but Goran.Hrsak can give a better answer, perhaps you should give him a personal message.

Nope, nope.

What you need is this, my friend:

cactus_san_pedro.jpg

that looks more like it, yours?

'that looks more like it, yours?'

Nope, snagged it off google. I just planted a new batch last week. We've been getting great weather. I'm hoping this summer will be great for 'em. I'll take photos once they start maturing. (:

when my cacti are growing again I will take some pictures too, specially from my T. Bridgesii monstrosus

Hey guys. Not to bother you with another topic, I put some photos here of cacti growing in my garden.
I think they can be Echinopsis Spachiana, but well... not sure about that.

its almost definitely a Echinopsis Spachiana, are those black spots soft? how long does the cactus have them? looks like a really bad rot.

Yeah, quite long time. I think is because of the too much rain and humidity.
Now that I know is an Echinopsis, I'll take much more care of him :D

Has it got the same concentrations of trichocereus, so 30 cm long piece for one person, less or more, or... ?

Thanks for the reply, you put a smile on my face =)
