Wow, now that I think about it this fall I was smoking everyday for a period of like 2 months, during that time I went to McD's more than have in like the past few years combined. I'm not smoking nearly as much, and I haven't gone to McDs for a month now.
Coincidence?

Well I have been smoking for years and haven't been to the McDonalds in years.
Well that's not totally true, I might have eaten a Mc Flurry or 5....
But seriously, if you really like the taste of McDonalds meat, what burnd your sense of taste?

sorry space but you've got to acknowledge that burgers --including mcdonalds--are just VERY TASTY.

When I'm high on the mary-jane, I find that I can hear music in my head crystal clear. Not stuff I make up in my head, but songs that I know, they just come into my mind as though I were listening to the song at that very time. Usually it isn't the whole song, but a large portion. It's pretty cool in my opinion...

Best part of being high (for me) is the music. In my head or otherwise :P

I couldn't agree more. would be the only reason for me to smoke some again (well ok, except for having sex xD.)

cannabis + music = teh pwn
that always gave me mental orgasms. and I started to understand music, decode the rythms. like venetian snares, or aphex twin. listening to windowlicker with closed eyes in bed with good headphones was one of the most amazing things I ever did on cannabis :D

I strongly believe that music is a key that if used properly in the right place at the right time and with the right people can unlock gateways to other dimensions in our consciousness beyond the scope of taking psychoactive substances which only help dissolve the barriers between our physical and mental states.

Since the first time I took mdma I have had music rolling around in my head and taking mdma definitely helped unlock music that I believe is in all of us if we know it or not. Each of our minds are perfect but in this physical state the invisible constructs which engulf us all hide and lock down the true perfection of our minds. The problem is that the music we hear in our minds tends to be perfect and trying to get it out using such programmes as logic, cubase, sonar ect as mentioned is very difficult and is something I have tried accomplishing for many years with no prevail.

I believe also that music manifests here and when we return to the one consciousness we take this music back with us as with all the other experiences we have. However like I previously said I believe we can get back to that one consciousness from this physical state with the aid of music acting as a key. This is also something I have strived for throughout my life but the music never took me that far then SERENDIPITY. I still believe music can take you there but it has to be perfect and im afraid I no longer believe that perfection can be achieved in this existence. Then again I have never tried making something when in a psy state maybe ill take that up sometime in the future: D

Same thing for me, I have music constantly rolling in my head since the first time I took some XTC, and I strongly believe that MDMA improves your perception of music.

I've never taken E but i've always had music in my head, especially when i work or exercise. it is interesting the mixes i do, especially with classic music...that's the music i listen to the most in my head tho it's trance i love when it comes from the outside:P...
and yes ganja with music is like cornflakes in cold milk
but i never get horny on ganja----

I always have music in my head.
Even small parts of orchestral pieces I make up, no problem.

But, I wonder if it's really real musical notes I'm hearing.
Will I ever be able to translate what I hear into sheet music.
Or is it just a blurry imagination, meaningless, where I just think I'm hearing music, but's it's not really the case.

It's like thinking of a person you know very well, and try to picture he or she in your head.
Well, you probably now very well how he or she looks like.
But when you try to focus on this picture in your head and look for details in it, it all of a sudden is very hard to see anything at all.

So I wonder, is it really true that we hear and see things in our heads, or is it just our imagination?

it is just our imagination and it is in our heads

I DO NOT agree with your statement

and for Djones

how do you think Ludwig Van Beetoven wrote his music after his hearing was gone definitely?
and he managed to write the ode to Joy without hearing a single note of his masterpiece. it was all in his mind.

 the way he said if it's in our heads or if it's imagination, to me it's the same thing!

not in the sense that everything is imagined or fake, but our experience occurs filtered through our senses so it is in a way in our heads, where we interpret things and play with them by imagination, so it all happens in the same place BUT things aren't IN our heads, we just interpret them THERE.

:D ok i understand the meaning of your words now
sorry
but our interpretation of these different words was different:P

Dantediv86, Beethoven surely could not hear the last symphony, but the work he had done before he lost his hearing, made it possible, perhaps Djones hasn't done this kind of homework. Beethoven, being the great musician that he was, was no different from you or me, a man with the music in his head. the difference is that he wrote, and nowadays, we record. the most of the "brain-music" we get is forever lost, and so has his. we always tend to forget the humanity of great personalities. i only pity one thing: LSD hasn't been invented in 1800.

Trying to make music good enough for me to listen to with pleasure is my biggest objective right now...

As nothing is ever easy, I'm not gifted, but as someone said "Talent = patience and willingness to learn", so I'll try as hard as I can :D

If you hear music constantly in your mind, then you should really consider getting it out somehow - you must be a talented composer. The way you do it doesn't matter - Beethoven wrote sheet music, Jimi Hendrix could never even read musical notes, he just translated his thoughts directly with his guitar!

A painter once told me "I don't have to think of pictures, I don't have to invent them - I am always full of pictures, they are popping up in my mind and at some point I just have to paint them"
I guess it's the same with music.
