Mushroom picking question (Liberty Cap)

Hi i was just walkin around on grass plains, and this is my first time to pick my own!
I found a few!
I've heard the season has already started here, so i took some pics!

Hope its the right thing, they look pretty much like liberty caps!
But im not 100% sure!

So....here are some pics:

I can only see one picture . On it there are at least two , if not three types of mushrooms . The one with white gills is definately not one and could be very dangerous .

Please take better , bigger fotos . 600 x 600 is about right to post so we can see them .

I just enlarged it and there are no Psilocybe Semilanceata mushrooms on the foto . There are at least three other different types in the picture .

I didnt know we had much of deadly shrooms in here!

Just talked to an expert here, he said it was maybe a week or two to early!

Yes, its ok! Im not that stupid to eat everything i find on the ground!
But we dont really have many plants that are lethal in iceland!

So, yes im going to pick with him!
But he's travelling now for a month, so i hope we can make a cute trip together!

not to be picky, but none of the mushrooms shown in Psyolopher's photos appears to be an amanita, let alone an amanita virosa
scare tactics, GOD?

regardless, it is very risky to consume mushrooms you've picked yourself without expert help
there's no real rule of thumb about identifying mushrooms, and the only place to make any identification complete is under the microscope

hello, i went out for a walk to smoke some pot, when i walked back home i found these about 3 meters from my front door. I don't think they are psycho-active but o well what do you think?

Its nothing psychoactive . At least one of them looks like an ink cap to me .

the whole idea of picking your own mushrooms in your local forest sounds like a very good (and cheap) way to trip but f*cking dangerous at the same time. In equel measures that is. but he, if you got the knowlegde . . . why not? 8)

If you don't live in newfoundland, or washington state be careful.
I however have eaten many random mushrooms, and OD'ed on Fly Agaric before hahaha I puked for 30 minutes then I was delirius, it was awesome :wink:
But really, there are only a handful of deadly mushrooms, many many poisonous, but yet psychoactive are still rare.
Just pay the 80 bucks and grow em in your basement !

doesn't sound like an overdose at all
sounds like a pretty standard amanita muscaria experience

I never understood how people can identify edible mushrooms (or psychoactive ones). Pictures in books and on wikipedia always look nice, but out in the woods they often look totally different.

My aunt has been picking edible mushrooms all her life and she finds the best ones everywhere, in parks, in the forest, right behind her house - she has been picking and eating mushrooms for over 50 years I guess and she never picked a poisonous one. Unfortunately she's always been living in another town otherwise I am sure I would have gone mushroom hunting with her as a child. Then I'd be an expert now...
