No it's actually 1kg of shrooms.

It's the LD50 part... It means Legal Dose 50...
In most drugs there's a lot of LD50, but in LSD or shrooms it's really low.
1 gram of speed (at once) can kill you. But you need like a kilogram of shrooms to do that...

I don't know exactly what kind of substance LD50 is or what it does. Just that there's a very little amount of in shrooms and acid

LD50 is not a substance but a shortened form of the expression "Lethal Dose for 50% of the test subjects".

It means, how much of some stuff kills half of the test animals.

As far as I know LSD has no LD50 that makes any sense for humans, ie. if there is such an amount nobody seems to have encountered it.
Erowid lists LD50 for mice at 46mg/kg, for rats 16.5mg/kg and for rabbits 0.3mg/kg. A general Ld50 figure of 12000mg total is given (150mg/kg).
The great differences in the amounts lead one to believe the numbers are not indicative of the human/primate LD50. For an 80kg human the mouse LD50 would be 3680mg, ie 3.6grams in one go. The rabbit dose would be 24mg, which isn't anywhere near a threshold dose for psychedelic effects.
Anyhoo, there should be no reason to worry about overdose with LSD.

There is the story about an elephant dying of LSD. However, it was never proven that the cause of death was LSD, it could've been just the case of the animal panicking (who wouldn't having been given 500000mikes of acid without a warning) and dying of fear, stress or something similar.

As for mushrooms, Erowid lists 280mg/kg for rats and mice and 12.5mg/kg for rabbits. There's no number given for primates or humans.

AS Shroom lady said, LSD is something like Shrooms.But for my definisin LSD give you caos in head,shrooms are nicer and give you something like E feeling, when Cacti gives you the most colorful voyage.In case of Bad trip try to walk,go away from normal people,but if is so dark bed trip take 300mg of promazine,2-4mg risperidon or handfull of benzodiazepins and booze 8)

I think mushrooms can give you really "dark" trips also. I have never taken much LSD (I only took smaller party-doses some years ago, before I became a psychonaut) so I can't say, but I guess it's as always the dose, set and setting that can make any mushroom or LSD trip be totally different from the last one.

Booze definitely works and I imagine benzos also work well (never had those when tripping, but I know they work very well to take any fear from you totally).

You can also try to meditate: Lie back in a quiet dark place, concentrate on your breathing and let everything happen. If you can manage a bad trip like this, it will give you the most rewarding trips anyways plus you can profit from it a lot for everyday life (because you really learn how to meditate and let go which also helps a lot in everyday life)
