I can't imagine what being in balance might mean, or feel like.
So I think I'm in balance only on the sense that I'm alive (I'm talking about our body composition. That wich makes matter manifest). But the whole planet is in balance in that case.

That's a hard question to answer, isn't it?
I wish i could answer that question, but to be honest, i can't. And this is just, because balance can be interpreted and be used in two many ways. But at least, i can try to explain one of my own interpretations of balance.
First of all, I do think that the world is in balance, because i like to believe in a sort of dualistic world view, where everything depends on everything else. The world surrounds everything, and everything that happens on the surface of earth, causes lots of conflicts and problems, while at the sametime causes miracles and love.
If i do take a look at my own life, i have to say that sometimes i am in balance(which for me means, that i am not lost in pain, but also not in joy) and sometimes i am not in balance at all. Just because it's to easy to lose your self and to forget there is also the opposite experience.
An example of what i mean:
If you tell someone who is really depressed, that where living in heaven, he will probably laugh at you being arrogant, because he experience a hell of a time and he has probably forgotten that there is just something like heaven. Such a person is just unable to feel joy and pleasure, and can cause people who do experience heavenly feelings a lot of problems.
But if someone feels like he is in heaven, then this also becomes a problem. He seems to be unable to understand that there is such a experience as a hell. He just can't feel the pain of someone who's mentally confused or depressed. He probably will joke, laugh or even ridicule a person who don't experience the joy and pleasure he feels.
I do believe this is one of the main reasons of so many classic battles we have seen in the past and still see today, it are battles, like between the rich and the poor, or religious fanatics and scientists etc. Yet we do need them both.
My experience is,that it's pretty hard to live between these two oppositions, and also important to stay out of problems.
Well i can go on for ever like this, but right now i need to go to bed, before i cause someone else on psychonuts, a nasty nightmare
