Yesterday night, i was feeling like i was getting a panic attack(But i fell asleep before it really did happen)
I went to sleep, my head turned around during sleep!
I got 2 revelations (which i currently forgot)
And that just made me really excited and i when i woke up i was full of positive energy! i am currently cleaning the apartment,(which i am to lazy to do ...to often)
Has dreaming a vital role in sanity?
Does it like reset your mind or change it?

Why the fuck do we dream anyway?
(i've read some speculations about it, and theories....but i dont know what to believe, my dreams are so diverse)

dreams connect you to the source of thought.

well while dreaming, your brain shows activity, therefore it's working.
the brain is "sort of" the source of thoughts.

conclusion: you are (most probably) connected to your brain (the source of thoughts) in your dreams.

are you speaking of physical sanity or psychic sanity???

in my opinion dreaming has a vital role in both of the sanities.

Ever lucid dreamed? (two or three times for me)

Sometimes dreams are directly related to my everyday worries, experiences, hopes, etc, easy to interpret and make a connection to. And then again sometimes they are so abstract or fantastical that they are difficult to get anything out of, other than a good time :)

Emotionally, dreams are remarkably similar to tripping in that your emotions really change the nature of the dream, feed back on themselves, etc...

As for the physicality of it, after a night of dreams I do feel refreshed, very refreshed actually. But a good night of dreams also requires a good night of sleep, which I don't often get these days..

I used to think that during dreams my brain works on what happened during the day. But my dreams are so strange and unlogical that I don't know what to think :D

if you don't know what to think, better think of nothing....until you know what to think....

What I like about this phrase is that I think it can apply to a lot more than just dreaming!

dreaming is endogenous psychedelia.

If you embrace it you will become. There is no end to it. I'm having dreams that last for days, on awakening I can write 15 or more pages on what just happened; getting longer and longer still.

TTo create a little flower is the labor of ages

It's just a guess but i believe that you need to dream to emotions cope/deal with your emotions pleasant or unpleasant. Else you maybe can't handle simple happenings normally in your life.

I am not connected to my brain, we are parts of each other.

It does not show that your brain is working.

It shows that people are always thinking and that during their sleep they lack consciousness to give it direction.

If you listen to your mind, you will find it is always daydreaming to a degree. Try some Mindfulness Meditation if you are skeptical.

are there any herbs/drugs that have a relationship to dreaming?

The only theory I know about dream as an endogenous psychedelia is the dmt's theory : while you're sleeping, your pineal gland produces small doses of Dimethytritptamine as well as Melatonine. But it's just a theory. It's amazing how some dreams affect you even hours after your wake-up.

Peace.

I think you're right about that Telico.
But that's just in the realm of scientific materialism.

I say dreaming is endogenous psychedelia because I can be thought of it that way, and if thought of it that way then you your mind opens itself to a whole new spectrum of possibilities to learn about yourself.
You can teach yourself to observe dreaming as tripping and have lots of fun. :D

If you've ever managed to fall asleep after dosing, acid has a crazy effect on your dreams :P

In my case, i was in a giant cylinder with many floors, everytime i moved between levels the world burst into sharp white/black fractal patterns.. oh, and so vivid :D

And you didn't wake up? How can you feel asleep when you just took some LSD :D

I think the dose was mild enough, and my body was tired enough that somehow I managed, this has happened to me a few times actually but this was the only time where i really started dreaming, and it really was dreaming, different from just a closed-eye trip. But yeah, I did wake up eventually as I remember the dream.. and I wasn't really tripping that hard when I awoke

Also it is possible to fall alseep during comeup as well.. although waking up later while tripping can be a bit of an experience :P
