You've just showed you know so much but are truely lazy, in communicating AND corroborating. Instead of adding to current research you choose to ignore that it saved lives too, and you are using all your energy to show how much you feel bad about yourself in making people look wrong.
You even just stated it might not work, there is over 3000 very conclusive medical papers on DMSO, I've read almost a hundred, they are very detailed.
You are also generalising, and giving stupid examples like you are speaking to a 5 yo.
You are being pathetic, what an attitude !
If there is one thing I hate in life is see great potentials like you eat meat and shit a stinky death.
uke:
I use DMSO very often, the releif in my pain and general discomfort cannot be compared with anything I've tried before, it's not only almost instantaneous, but it's also long term and usually I don't need to apply it often.
It makes me sick how much pages I had to sift through to find real info about DMSO, most of the studies look PRIVATELY funded to prove it's a bad thing ; they use it pure and say : Oh we have to stop the study their skin is blistered and red ... IDIOTS ! and then : we use 5% and 70% DMSO and found no difference... no difference exept it can blister your skin, why the heck DMSO use would be mandatory in professional sports team... why would they bathe 5 millions $ worth horses in it ?!
Next thing we'll learn is that in their famous FDA trials, they have fed people diets full of refined sugars and no ionic minerals. Oh the private sports team doctor know how much it's important to give electrolyte full water to drink and bathe in while using DMSO... but the FDA, DUH, they're not experts in anything... they don't know what they're doing obviously.
Next thing you'll post me an article by quackwatch ?!
Freakin ludicrous, it really makes me want to puke. Who's making medical claims ? I'm not a freakin doctor, and for your information if someone is stupid enough to experiment on his own after reading a few posts on a forum, then he's stupid enough to do many other much more dangerous things. We're discussing the subject, you're being a jackass. I'm sure millions of people use DMSO and are feeling just fine !

I firmly believe that if all the medicines could be sunk to the bottom of the sea, it would be better for mankind -- and all the worst for the fishes. Oliver Wendell Holmes, 1980
You know I agree with you on what you say, you're just jacquing off to the idea that some of them might be good, sometimes. We're not extremists !
Ahu : Shit I cut myself yesterday and it became infected, I'm in pain I think it will spread and were in the middle of the woods with nothing but this first aid kit.
Pariah : oh lemme see those things are usually filled with useless stuff... there, oh crap this is a veterinary kit with only questionable DMSO and salycilic acid in it, it dosen't even mention the purity. *throws the bottle down the cliff*
Ahu : What are you doing man !
Pariah : I'm sorry it's going to take days before we get back into town... you're going to have to get your leg amputated, lets start walking now ; to the hospital we go ; *mumbles* even if I beleive they're shitheads with no talent like me.
So many people use it it's hard to beleive the fierce opposition it gets :

You remember the scandal about the sugar industry ? Splenda was proven much safer than aspartame, it was sweet, kinda good tasting and wasn't processed by the body. The cane sugar refineries were caught trying to spread rumors that splenda was like aspartame and created tons of side effects, this was ruled agains the sugar industry in court.
You think that wouldn't happen for something like DMSO ?

[quote:3nw2igww]DMSO AS A POTENTIATOR
Drodney F. Pommier, M.D. and associates at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon studied the cancer killing effects of DMSO, chemotherapeutic drugs (adriamycin, vinblastine, 4-fluorouracil, cisplatin), and the combination of the two on five human tumor cell lines. The five human tumor cell lines were Hep-2 (squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx), HEC- 1A (adenocarcinoma of the endometrium), CAKI-1 (adenocarcinoma of the kidney), HT- 29 (adenocarcinoma of the colon) and MCF-7(adenocarcinoma of the breast). The authors summarized the study as follows: "Five human tumor reference cell lines were tested in vitro against 0 percent, 5 percent, and 10 percent DMSO; four antineoplastic agents; and combinations of 5 percent or 10 percent DMSO plus each antineoplastic agent. Synergistic cytotoxicity between DMSO and antineoplastic agents against each cell line were demonstrated. We have concluded that delivery of standard doses of antineoplastic agents in 5 percent or 10 percent DMSO may be useful in the treatment of some tumors because of the marked increase in tumoricidal effect seen with some DMSO and drug combinations. Alternatively, lower doses of antineoplastic agents might be delivered in DMSO, producing the same cytotoxic effect as a full dose of drug without DMSO but with less systemic toxicity."(Pommier, R. “Cytotoxicity of Dimethyl Sulfoxide and Antineoplastic Combinations Against Human Tumors
