we are perhaps the mightiest animal on the planet...but i think its more like we are the LEAST evolved...

we are the mightiest and not enough psychologically evolved to handle our intelligence.

Insects are the mightiest beings on earth...

no
Arachnids are

spiders dont work together like insects.

"Insects are the mightiest beings on earth..."

No , viri are .

VIRI is the plural of VIRUS .

In latin VIRI also means .....men !!!!

Virus is a neutral from the second declination it doesn't hold a plural.
EDIT:
it would have been a curious thought tho

Look in wikipedia about it , and word games .

well i remember from highschool that Vulgus and Virus were the exceptions in the second declination
and in fact it says here, on wikipedia also that the plural of virus is recent and used in jargon and it also explain how the plural of virus was already occupide by the plural of vir
latins would have never made such a "horrible" mistake
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viri

On the same page it explains about there being no standard english . At grammar school i learned that a word ending with an s is plural / doesnt have a plural . And as an english man the word viruses hurts my ears , if you know what i mean , allthough i use it myself . It was a word game , Lions statement was "Insects are the mightiest beings on earth..." and i replied "No , viri are ." , meaning viruses and men / humans .

A bit like anus meaning arsehole and year as in queen Elizabeths "Anus Horriblis"!!!

yes yes i was just bugging
and i do agree that "viruses" creates a definite suction area around men's (or viri if you wish :P) genitals
anyway
what were we talking about before we got into this latin trivia?

Lions statement was "Insects are the mightiest beings on earth..."

nono...even before that...
i can't be bothered to re read the topic -______-'
