I ate some fresh shrooms for the first time this past week and discovered that I much prefer fresh to dried. I think they're alot easier to eat and don't get all stuck in your teeth. So going against Heartcore's advice, I decided to try and freeze a few from the last flush of a casing. Well I don't have mushroom goo, they're nice and stiff and frozen but the caps are turning a shade of green. It only appears to be discoloration and not mold but has anyone ever eaten green caps? I've been told that fresh mushrooms can be stored in honey; anyone ever tried this?
