Yeah on opium maybe, or ket when your out cold :D

I'm just kidding... well I don't share the vision on metal actually, for a very long time I've hated all music with guitars, but then I had a girlfriend who listened to metal, in that period I liked some. But know I don't have to listen to it anymore I don't really care. If I hear it on a festival I do enjoy it, but I won't ever play it chilling at home.

Maximim Electronica, Avril 14th and Flim. All by Aphex Twin.

I'll have to check out Venetian Snares and Aphex Twin, they sound like something I could get in to.
and, did you check them out? ^^
The last time I'm getting more and more into breakcore. I love that kind of music, but (my guess) 70% of the people people who don't know or like breakcore get headache :P

here's a good one by venetian snares (no headache danger :P)

It's a shame it isn't mentioned and that I didn't mention:

Carbon Based Lifeforms

I actually dislike metal quite a bit. For some weird reason Creed I like though, I can even relax to it. Downloaded their CD by accident a year ago, been listening to it ever since.

Weird twists of faith. :P

Forgot to mention the album 'In Dub' by Hallucinogen/OTT (a little confused when it comes to the artist).

For chilling out I often listen to albums from Moby or Infected Mushroom. But IM get's a bit a-relaxing sometimes. DnB (jungle) is also a style I like a lot.

Occasionally, I also put up some nu-metal to relax and let bad thoughts get out of me ;). Metal

Music to chill out to? I'd probably have to go for Reggae, Gentleman to be precise but that's more because I like listen to that LOADS and I like it in every mood possible =D

Little quote: LEGALIZE IIIIIIIIIIIIIT BUN BABYLON AN DEM FOOLISHNES LEGALIZE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

^_^ Ain't that just the truth?

Ott made dub remixes of Hallucinogen tracks ;)

If you really want to get chilled you could try the Buddha Bar series CDs, originally mixed by Claude Challe, later by Visan and Ravin, if you like smooth downtemo, ethic fusion.

Soaen's mixes of Buddha Sounds and Chill in: India are good too, with more original material. 1 Giant Leap is a classic eclectic collection

The Cafe del Mar series have some good ones too, like Dreams, Chillhouse, etc.

There are may similar artists producing this stuff, electronica/ ethnic, like Karsh Kale, Prem Joshua, Karunseh and Oliver Shanti (sadly now out of favour as he in wanted for child abuse).

For more ambient moments there are Brian Eno (the 'inventor' of ambient), Pete Namlook, Bill Laswell (some only), Steve Roach, etc.

Buddha Bar.... You mean that pretentious lounge shit, that costs €45 mutherfucking euro's for a cd?

 nobody mentioned The Doors? Lately one of my favourite bands to chill...

Beacause i was a metalhead too i often listen to some drown/sludge/stoner-doom... Boris

And i have to mention my last discovery: Manoloco. Great Down Tempo music with some psy elements. Trippy.

If anyones into some nice sitar music... get some "Ananda Shankar" this guy remixes songs with his sitar and such... hes got a Rolling Stones, and The Doors songs remixed sounds pretty cool... check it out... :D

its a toughy it depends on my high but when i wanna chill out nothing beats the grateful dead, tom petty and the heartbreakers, pink floyd, donovan etc. Probably my favourite song to chill out to when high is either learning to fly by tom petty or comfortably numb by pink floyd

I really like the new compilation cd of the Beatles. Love. There are some very cool psychedelic effects on it.

For tripping, I'd say: Shpongle, Younger Brother, Entheogenic, Ott etc. There's a very limited range of music I would want to listen to while tripping.

When stoned: Gong, Hawkwind, Monster Magnet (first 4 albums especially), Ozric Tentacles, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, well this list could go on and on. I do not necessarily prefer chill-out music when I'm stoned. All music styles are appreciated.

I got the whole Buddha Bar collection from someone. Nice as background music.

At the moment: really high frow weed.
And i mean HIGH, really high in the sky; good music is: Bang Tango and Steelheart.
