An analogy is like a box of chocolates – A mismatched assortment of core ideas someone has tried to package as a whole by sugar-coating them with the same truth, which usually turns out a bit too dark and bitter to make it palatable, and usually is more suited to the taste of the one giving it than the one it is given to.

I love analogies. Since existence seems to be a fractal, one can finds lots of analogies that are valid.

I laughed like a buddha without the enlightenment.

analogies are just metaphors, the problem is when they are used in place of concrete proof (frequently by politicians or religious speakers). any analogy if taken too far becomes flawed and even self-contradictory at some point

mmm chocolate

yes because if you take the analogy too far it can become irrelevant
and you can use a positive analogy to reinforce a negative thing

i personally love analogies
and even more so metaphors :D
like one time on acid near the end of the trip i was talking to my cousin about drug use
using female names for the drugs and talking about how they treat me etc.

like mary jane is always there for me
lucy comes around for visits from time to time and i always enjoy our time together
on the odd weekend i spend a little time with my eX, stacy
etc etc. only they were less obvious metaphors than these and it went on for like a good half hour haha
