spice a dit:
Who determines defamatory?

what's excessively vulgar?

Obscene??? ('I know it when I see it'....see Supreme Court of U.S. famous obscenity ruling)

etc.etc...
That's why I wrote in the thread on New Forum Rules that "(If this rule would be implemented, it might be a good idea to include the definitions of pornographic, racist etc., so as to avoid confusion and disagreement later on.)"

It may not be possible to come up with perfect definitions, but I think the more clarity the better.

Regarding your suggestion, that it's better to lock threads than ban people, I see your point, but locking threads isn't necessarily going to be a satisfactory solution in all cases. A ban can be just as temporary as the locking of a thread, with less repercussions for the other forum members.

Not talking about the most recent ban though, what I've done isn't examplary. I'm thinking about the future here. I've heard so many times now: "something had to be done" or "something has to be done" or "CM, what the fuck have you done?!!" The point being: something wasn't right before. So what can be improved?

I tought I had like... cleared that point about the democrazy thingy.

But... hmph.

What I think is that my ancestor got banned from a city once for making too much sense. If it took you 5 years to make too much sense and on the night of your glorious 15 minutes of lots of sense you start shouting at people that displease you with breaks and mini-pauses in your way of communicating, AS if you had to come back to the computer to finish off ; in a way to show that you really don't care after all because you're angry at yourself because someone outwit you with so much weight that you get crazy at night.

Did the point go through without me breaking any rules ? I did not limit the implications of my toughts, I am honest... yet I am moderated. It's a relation with moderators, they're human too you know.

I'm making efforts, to me it's not extreme, but still, obscene is obscene, defamatory is defamatory... the definitions exist and are quite clear.

It was just... too much, too often. Anyone reading without knowing us prior would never, ever come back to psychonaut again ; it was way to cryptic, fullfillment of karma and all. Lets not underestimate ourselves...

This is fucked up.

CM, what are you doing?

I am beyond confused, and a bit stunned.

Take this foolishness eslewhere. I have always disliked the power a moderator has when he is accompanied by anger.

Insult.
Comeback.
Insult.
Ban.

Please, end this non-sense. This forum doesn't need its own politics.

For the people who don't know yet, Fork got his admin account back, and GOD was unbanned.

Yes, the moderators discussed the matter amongst themselves and decided that GOD should be unbanned.

I don't have access to the adjusted administrator account anymore, and I also don't have access to the moderator forum.

I've been asked by Dr.Leospace not to engage in discussions with GOD or get involved with moderator issues, and GOD has been requested to do the same.

Caduceus Mercurius a dit:
(which includes the Newsletter thread in the moderators forum, which contains very harsh words by GOD and a very inappropriate remark by Forkbender).

I'm not entirely sure why I made an inappropriate remark. I just said something about the way the thread was developing, which, arguably, can be interpreted in many ways. I just liked what st.bot said on the subject.

That I could understand. It's just that in the context of what else had been said in the thread such a one-liner sounded really odd.
