A little black on the shroom

Hey!

I just harvested my second flush, got big juicey shrooms from it. But there was a little black on one of the shrooms and on the box.
This isnt dangerous huh?

The biggest shroom was about 37-45 grams, really big one!

Think the black stuff is probably spores. Did any of your shrooms open before picking them ? A little is not that bad but its always better to avoid a lot of spores on the kit. The kit simulates the natural way that shrooms are growing, once the mushroom placed new spores on the kit its job is done and there is really no need for a second flush and the mycelium might go in to rest.

Think of it like you are the animal that eats (picks) the shroom, the kit will try to ensure it continuation so it will produce a new flush until its out of nutrients.

You can check if it spores you should be able to remove it just by scratching it off. If its rotten you can best smell them , rotten shrooms stink enormously.

Yeah that deffinately could be spores. Nothing to worry about.
I just harvested my first flush today and there were only 2 with black marks on them (because there were other shrooms overlaping 'em)

They smelled great btw

Did mushroom turn black or did it grow up that way? If it turned black than thats no problem. The musroom turns black after it has released its spores cause its starting to die. I had one kit were all the mushrooms turned puple/black after releasing the spores but the mushrooms were ok and tasted great.

I had some black on the on the hat of about 3 of my musrooms that are growing yesterday, but they have grown move now and i can see that it the mushroom hat was black cause i had sprayed water directly on it and my guess is that the shrooms will turn out fine.
