I played in a theatre version of One flew over the cuckoo's nest. Quite the experience I must say! Also such a strong story.
20th century american literature you shouldn't forget American Psycho. I think that's a really interesting book too.

«Blindness» and «Death with Interruptions» by the Portuguese writer
José Saramago.

The psychedelic experience -Timothy Leary

The Electric kool-aid Acid test-Tom Wolf

Fup by Jim Dodge is a delightful book

"Island" - Aldous Huxley
"Perennial Philosophy" - Aldous Huxley (though, I haven't read it all, but I will. I feel I need a special state of mind to read that kind of stuff)
"In Search of the Miraculous: Fragments of an Unknown Teaching" - P.D Ouspensky (he is russian)

Those are books I liked. I don't consider them better than any others.

Did you read Heller's Catch-22? Is it good?

-Most of Hemingway? Exquisitely straightfoward nada.

Edit: American litterature... dammit, can't I read a thread title??

it's ok, this was already broken multiple times  I somehow could never sympathise with Hemingway because he's so damn popular. But, yeah, he sure is good.
